Note also that moon in 9th exactly squares the ascendent as well as Juno, asteroid of relationship and being together.

Yes, it does interfere with the trine. The houses that Sun and Merc rule indicate the areas of his life that pose this interference. His 2nd, 3rd and 12th houses.

Merc seems pretty troublesome,...

I practice a very simplified form of traditional horary. I was fortunate to get a bit of a tutorial from a former member who is (or was) the horary moderator at Skyscript....

You cant call mars/venus as "mutual reception" since mutual reception requires an aspect.
This is called generosity.

Id suggest you to read christian astrology or any trad horary book.

Based on his/Sun's reception to you, I would say he is not particularly interested in you.
Based on Sun's reception to one of your co-workers/6th/Moon, I would say he is not interested in her.

I dug out my Horary Textbook (John Frawley of course!) to check that change of sign and I think it is fine in this case.

It is possible that an aspect may perfect immediately inside the next sign....

Sorry to butt in! The aspect made between Mercury and Jupiter is when Mercury changes signs so not right now. I'm not sure if there is a set amount of degrees to consider when a planet changes...

Everqueen gave a good judgement of the chart, so I have nothing much to add. I'll say this, his intellectual side (mercury), and him as a man ( sun), show different things. Mercury here...

Maybe the question became a burning issue for you prior to when you cast the chart. Or maybe a question like, "Will this client call me back?" is just masking a much bigger or different question...

you have the significators exact... you querent are ascendent, your son is your 5th, his college the 9th from the 5th.

The categories are somewhat limited, but maybe career?

College is signified by the 9th [rather than the 9th from the 5th] so ruled by Moon.
