The Moon here 1) is not strong, 2) it rules the 8th house of endings, 3) it is in opposition to the significator of the couple, Jup. Ironically the Moon sits at the 7th, so the event 'culminates'...

What went very wrong per this chart:

1) the first house (couple) ruler Jupiter is being opposed by the Moon- the event and engine of the chart (how things will proceed/pan out)....
