The synastry in my opinion is better than the composite, which has terrible Saturn aspects, but I still see nothing regarding romance either way.

I actually do suffer from anxiety and depression so I think Uranus transiting my 6th house amplified those issues and forced me to take action when I had a nervous breakdown three to four years ago....
