Re: In What Sign is Chiron Domiciled?

I think Chiron has real meaning in a chart, but I wouldn't go so far as calling it a sign ruler without much more research into how it works as a house cusp ruler (lord.)

I am not into New Age...

Re: I have never been loved or cared for by anybody, only been criticized and put dow

Chiron on your ascendant opposed by Saturn can have this effect where "it hurts to be you."

I agree with Katydid, that if you can get into therapy with a clinical psychologist, you might find it...

I recently started a thread on Sedna at Astrodienst-- lots more discussion there.

Re: 4 planet stellium in 12th house?!

In modern western astrology the 12th house has many symbolisms: people who are shut-in in some way, including hospitals and prisons, large animals, the mother's experience of the native's birth, and...

Re: quesited and querent same planet?

Thanks, JoZi15.

I practice a very simplified form of traditional horary. I was fortunate to get a bit of a tutorial from a former member who is (or was) the horary moderator at Skyscript....

Re: quesited and querent same planet?

On Tikana's side is most traditional horary astrology re: perfecting aspects.

My view is slightly different. If you have two planets in mutual reception. or even in strong conditions of...

Re: quesited and querent same planet?

It can happen that the querent and quesited are ruled by the same planet, because many questions are about matters unrelated to the 7th house.

For example, querent has Capricorn rising and asks...

Re: What do y'all think about the asteroid Hephaestus Hephaistos (2212)?

Chay, I increasingly see quintiles (360/5) as a major aspect: talent plus the ambition to manifest it, as indicated by signs and houses. Septiles (360/7) are more other-worldly: the ability to see...

Re: What do y'all think about the asteroid Hephaestus Hephaistos (2212)?

I might also point out parallels between Hephaistos the smithy and the Germanic legends of a smithy variously called Wayland, Wolund, Volundr, &c. He shows up in the Norse sagas as a master...

Re: Do you see placements that suggest this is the birth chart of a legendary singer?

Venus in Taurus is supposedly good for a singer, because Venus is domiciled and Taurus-- in addition to the 2nd house-- rules the throat.

Mercury is the traditional ruler of money, and is the tip...

Re: will my son be living again with me?

It might be helpful if you explained a bit more of the circumstances.

Is this simply a case of your wife leaving you (whether temporarily or permanently we don't know,) or are you in the midst of...

Re: Second ivf?

Tim, Transits are very relevant to horary. We look at applying and separating aspects, translation of light, and prohibitions, which are transits. Also, it is fair sometimes to suggest to a querent...

Re: Second ivf?

I think you'd want to look at transits and progressions in relation to your natal chart, not so much in terms of what is happening in the sky-- whether or not much of it affects you.

See if you...

Re: Do you guys use placidus or whole sign for natal charts?

Usually I would use Placidus. It is very sensitive to timing.

But this is not an asset if the birth time cannot be accurately pinned down. For example, if the birth certificate does not list a...

Re: Should we buy the condo for daughter?

Leomoon, my response is going to be more Suzie Orman than William Lillie, but without needing you to respond with personal information:

1. It's good advice for older parents not to make an...

Re: Will my father's contact become my mentor?

sinthe, I think there's a good chance this will work out, keeping in mind that you (a) have to do the work to perform well at your studies, and (b) mentors can be supportive and helpful without...

Re: Will I marry someone who is a lot older than me?

Agreed.

But don't forget planets in or close to your 7th house. Uranus can indicate someone who is an iconoclast or uniquely different in some way. Uranus in the 7th can also indicate...

Re: Will my father's contact become my mentor?

We need to assign a turned house to this contact. Can you explain the relationship of this person to your father? (Such as Dad's friend, business associate, former teacher, or....)

Then what...

Re: Will husband move back home again?

The early degree rising says, "It's too soon to tell." The moon is void-of-the course, suggesting that your present situation is unlike to change for a while.

Venus and Mars are in mutual...

Re: Would a career in a government bank be prosperous for me?

Thanks. Much easier to read.

So here we have a chart with an early degree rising. Too soon to tell?

I'd use the 10th house for the quesited, which is about your career. The 10th would also...

Re: Will I ever own an apartment in Trump Tower New York?

Astrology "doesn't stop working" with a very early or very late degree rising. The chart just gives a different type of answer.

But some charts are invalid, regardless. For example, they might...

Re: Will I ever own an apartment in Trump Tower New York?

Possibly. Traditionally the cut-off point for an early degree rising would be three degrees counting from 0 degrees as the first degree. This would take that period through the end of 2 degrees...

Re: Will I ever own an apartment in Trump Tower New York?

See if you can scale down your chart to a comfortable viewing size.

I would view a potential new home as the 4th from the 4th house, or radix 7th house. But it does make sense to assign it to the...

But I will partially stick to my point. I mean, many people are not actually tempted to do something really bad. Opportune moments can come and go without triggering an...

Re: If I take this graduate level maths course, will I be able to do well?

I'm getting a mixed testimony, as well.

On the whole, I would say "Go for it!" if you have the option of withdrawing from this course early in the term for a tuition refund, if you don't think you...
