Re: Cadent houses being weak vs planetary joys

Interestingly Abu Ma'shar puts forth his view of how weak planets are to be interpreted. Weak planets still manifest in the native's life, but not in a way that leaves a marked impact on the world....

Re: Moving abroad

Well your question was specifically about this year, so I'd say I would avoid it this year. The chart seems to be talking about what would happen if you were to move abroad this year specifically.

Re: Moving abroad

Hello,

I think it might be best to avoid moving abroad for now.

You are Mercury under the beams in Aquarius. Mercury is getting better, but he's in a sign where he can't aspect the Ascendant. ...

I said I didn't want to hijack this thread and now look where I am.

Ehhh not necessarily. To be clear when I say houses, I mean the topical meanings applied to the houses, not the...

Re: Cadent houses being weak vs planetary joys

I think that this and angularity are more important and consistent than the meanings attached to the houses. Planetary aversion seems to be key in determining if a planet is going to help the native,...

Not trying to hijack the thread, but do you use Whole Sign and Alcabitius together? I thought I remember you using Whole Signs, but wasn't sure.

Re: Should i make an application to change my unit?

Hello,

You are the Moon in Cancer making an applying opposition to Jupiter in Capricorn. Jupiter is in Fall and he's still under the beams of the Sun. Jupiter receives the Moon in the sign of his...

Re: Weak 6th house procrastination and taken advantage of

Hellooo,

I think that the dreaminess and procrastination is probably due to your Ascendant ruler Venus. Venus is above the earth in a day chart, in a Masculine sign, so she's going to show some of...

Re: Is it a good idea to buy this insurance?

I don't think so.

I'm new to horary, so you can feel free to ignore me, but it doesn't look good.

The Ascendant ruler is Jupiter, Jupiter is in the sign of his Fall and in a sign averted from...

12th Parts make my head hurt.

I'm sure that you can get more information from them, as does Anthony from the blog you posted, but when I use them things quickly become a mess. You start by...

Re: Table and explanation of natural dignities and debilities

Hey petosiris,

Would you say that the domiciles and exaltations would need to be flipped in the Southern Hemisphere? For example the Sun would be exalted in Libra as that marks the start of spring...

Re: What proof is there that pisces is co-ruled by jupiter?

Not at all. I should probably post a pic of the Thema Mundi so that this makes more sense.

Here's the Wikipedia link for the Thema Mundi. It's...

Re: The Sidereal Zodiac in Hellenistic and Persian Astrology

To be transparent, the use of fixed stars within a traditional context is what really made me strongly consider this. The question I began to ask is "Ok, I'm using fixed stars in tropical signs that...

Re: What proof is there that pisces is co-ruled by jupiter?

Jupiter's rulership over Pisces wasn't necessarily tied to affinity. Ptolemy gives a seasonal analogy that says that Jupiter rules Pisces because Pisces is in a whole sign trine to Cancer, the home...

That's definitely a unique way of looking at charts, but also one that might clear away a lot of confusion.

I'm curious as to what this might look like in practice. Let's say for instance we have...

Re: Interpreting the dignities of Mercury and Saturn in this chart

I wouldn't say Mercury is afflicted. A concept that you see in Hellenistic astrology and early Medieval astrology is the idea of planets being in their "chariots". A planet in their own domicile or...

Re: What is your interpretation of Jupiter in the 1st house?

That may be true for some people, but this definitely doesn't apply to Nickidan's Jupiter. It's actually quite the opposite.

Not necessarily. I know for a fact though that it's not going to...

I see what you mean, but if you're referring to the concept of two minor dignities making a reception, then I disagree that this is in the "manner of Lilly". I don't know if you're referring to that,...

Re: What is your interpretation of Jupiter in the 1st house?

If you do this you're going to end up with a whole bunch of separate factors that you're going to struggle to put together when the time comes. Trust me on that one. You've got to look at each and...

Re: Understanding reception.

Which is what I was saying. Focus on receptions by domicile or exaltation.

Re: Reincarnation, suicide, determinism

Oh no....
