It's funny. In my case I have it in the 9th house. I don't know if any other factors played a role in what I'm about to say, but during my late childhood I never had a particularly high self-esteem....

That's probably the nature of the signs. Aries is cardinal and Taurus is fixed. If you want a really strong Mars look for Scorpio (fixed) Mars.
