Afflicted venus if associated with appropriate houses can indicate vanity, which is different from ego.

Ego is essential for worldly existence and not necessarily bad, rather useful and related...

A: As per Parashara, in Chap. 33, Sls. 25-30 the description includes:
- Planets in own, exalted, friendly kshetras (signs) when in mutual angles (kendras) are yogakaraka (especially beneficial)...

Whatever creates (fructifies/executes) a YOGA is a Yogakaraka. Dhana-, Raja-, etc are sub-classes within the compendium (Pandora's Box!) :happy:
