The only structural barriers that exist are those created by the government, making entire societies dependant on it...

Re: Why Do the Larger Population Areas Tend to Vote for the Democratic Candidates?

Not really - criminals are always going to commit criminal acts, whether you end the war on drugs or not, doesn't change who they are.

Criminals would simply change into another more suitable...

Re: Why Do the Larger Population Areas Tend to Vote for the Democratic Candidates?

If this is true, how is it that democrat politicians and donors are mega rich, while the average democrat voter is middle-class/poor.

This "social equality" agenda has existed (at least) since the...

Re: Why Do the Larger Population Areas Tend to Vote for the Democratic Candidates?

Re: Why Do the Larger Population Areas Tend to Vote for the Democratic Candidates?

Time for me to ask one question:

... why do democrat-run large metropolitan cities have the highest murder/manslaughter rates per population number?

This includes the top 10:

St.Louis...

Re: Why Do the Larger Population Areas Tend to Vote for the Democratic Candidates?

Yep, but Pinellas is still the most densely populated area, as per your question.

Re: Why Do the Larger Population Areas Tend to Vote for the Democratic Candidates?

The areas I mentioned do have a very large population.

Pinellas County has a population of almost 1 million people. In comparison with the least populous county in Florida (Liberty County), it is...

Re: Why Do the Larger Population Areas Tend to Vote for the Democratic Candidates?

You see why you need to set-up the variables properly david?

Your original question said "densely populated". Pinellas and Broward are the two most densely populated counties in florida....

Re: Why Do the Larger Population Areas Tend to Vote for the Democratic Candidates?

I'm asking because Trump carried some of the largest population counties in the 2016 election.

- He won Tulsa County - in Oklahoma (most densely populated county in the state).
- He won Oklahoma...

Again, it depends on the particular city or area. You are otherwise generalizing. Can you show the graph with the clear pattern showing democrats win the vote share in large urban cities in...

Re: Why Do the Larger Population Areas Tend to Vote for the Democratic Candidates?

Re: Why Do the Larger Population Areas Tend to Vote for the Democratic Candidates?

As I said - that depends on the area. There are too many variables to provide a "general" reason.

For example, in Miami, the large Cuban-American population tends to vote republican. However this...

Re: Why Do the Larger Population Areas Tend to Vote for the Democratic Candidates?

Another well-known example (originally mentioned by blackbery): New York City.

Crime goes up during democrat tenure since the 1970's

Crime goes down during republican tenure in the 1990's...

Re: Why Do the Larger Population Areas Tend to Vote for the Democratic Candidates?

From 1986 to 1992 when Democrats where in power. Maureen O'Connor (mayor). As...

Re: Why Do the Larger Population Areas Tend to Vote for the Democratic Candidates?

How is it that they are better suited when:
a) poorest cities in the U.S. are run by democrats.
b) highest crime rate cities in the U.S. are run by democrats.

?
