Re: Epiglottitis and swallowing problems

hi Waybread,

I can only eat lukewarm stuff, I don't react well to either cold or hot.

I would not have enough to file a complaint against the ENT doc, anyone can have an adverse reaction to...

Re: Epiglottitis and swallowing problems

Hi Waybread and Frisiangal,

I promised an update.

To cut it short, because I had a fever almost ever day, my GP decided to drop the brain MRI and go for a neck and chest CT instead, the...

Re: Epiglottitis and swallowing problems

hi Frisiangal,

thanks for your reply.

As far as I can tell, I didn't do anything or gone anywhere special the days before the onset. They were average weekdays. It was the first week of...

Re: Epiglottitis and swallowing problems

Hi Waybread,

Thank you for your replies.

Theoretically, there is very little chance that the epiglottitis comes back, it's quite rare a condition so its recurrence is even more rare. I think...

Re: Epiglottitis and swallowing problems

Hi Waybread,

I haven't travelled outside France for years, and I don't have any chronic conditions (that I know of), so I am not on any kind of medication.

It was my family doctor who...

Re: Epiglottitis and swallowing problems

hi Waybread,

No, the ENT specialist didn't look for anything else, he only checked the epiglottis. But I've had a fever again since yesterday, so I will try and get my family doctor to send me...

Re: Epiglottitis and swallowing problems

hi Waybread,

I've never tried protein shakes, I guess it's time I did.

The epiglottitis was caused by a bacterial infection, I was given some heavy weight antibiotics (Levofloxacin) and...

Epiglottitis and swallowing problems

Hi All,

I would like to ask some advice from those of you experienced in medical astrology.

I was diagnosed with epiglottitis on 6th January. I'll skip the details unless you think they are...

Re: Unexplained illness for 2 years now... no answers. Is it cancer? Infection? Virus

hi,

Medical astrology is not really my area , but for info about the health of the native, I would start with the ascendant and its ruler. Here Mars is in Libra, ruled by Venus in the 8th. Then we...

Re: OK, so Mercury conjunct Uranus is a "genius" aspect.

That would be neat, wouldn't it? They are in sextile. Moon-Saturn are in Virgo and Mercury-Uranus are in Scorpio. I could be Jane Goldilocks Holmes, the daughter of Miss Marple and Sherlock Holmes. ...

Re: OK, so Mercury conjunct Uranus is a "genius" aspect.

I think "abrupt" is a good keyword with Uranus. With a Mercury contact, we can talk about flashes of insight, intuition and/or inspiration, unexpected shifts in perspective... But also drawing blank,...

Re: Out-of-sign Conjunctions (Thoughts and experiences)

In traditional astrology, applying aspects indicate facets of the personality or circumstances that intensify as the person ages, while separating aspects lose their intensity with time. Mars...

Re: Can we look at astrology from a scientific point of view?

1. I am not a psychologist.

2. My problem with petosiris' post was that he labels those who do not agree with him "arrogant". Why call people names when they disagree with you? Why the bashing?...

Re: Can we look at astrology from a scientific point of view?

Maybe I get you wrong, but from what I have read from you so far, it seems like you take a practice humankind has been involved in for millennia, and appoint yourself to a position to decide what to...

Re: The clockwork of Astrology

I'm sorry, I took that as sarcasm.

We read Kant differently. The way I see it, he was moving away from Descartes' dualism, and exploring the connection between the two "realms". And then came...

Re: The clockwork of Astrology

I'm not skeptical about astrology. I finished my above post with "Not because astrology doesn't work, but because of how causality works". That means that in my experience, astrology works, but I do...

Re: The clockwork of Astrology

The problem with causality is that it's an abstraction.

Hume takes an interesting position (in An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding) when he points out that in real life no two events are...

Re: Using planetary patterns: the Locomotive. Bobby Fisher - Leonardo 6DaVinci

:)

I understand Jones' point of view, but I don't agree with him.

"Ralph Waldo Emerson, the American transcendentalist, is an interesting example of a native who for forty-three years...

Re: Using planetary patterns: the Locomotive. Bobby Fisher - Leonardo DaVinci

Do you agree with Jones on that? Doesn't it seem more logical that if we use modern techniques (like Jones' analysis of hemispheric patterns), then we must include modern planets because their...

Re: Using planetary patterns: the Locomotive. Bobby Fisher - Leonardo DaVinci

Do you think that if asked to guess the chart pattern of "the most diversely talented person to have ever lived", Jones would have picked the locomotive (or the bucket)? Wouldn't he have chosen the...

Re: Using planetary patterns: the Locomotive. Bobby. Fisher

We could do that, but Leonardo's contemporaries didn't use chart patterns, either. I think I would end up with an interpretation that would approximate something between a locomotive and a bucket.

Re: Using planetary patterns: the Locomotive. Bobby. Fisher

Leonardo's chart is a locomotive, with Mars in Aquarius on the cusp of the 3rd house as the leading planet and Saturn rx in Libra in the 10th trailing. There is neither a grand trine nor a t-square...

Re: Using planetary patterns: the Locomotive. Bobby. Fisher

It's interesting that Michael Meyer complements Jones here by focusing not so much on the social/practical expression of the locomotive. For him, this pattern is less about "success" and more about...
