I agree with several of the points you have made. I am wondering if the abuse you are referring to could have come from an ex-boyfriend. I did not have an abusive childhood, at least that I remember and my father was extremely over protective and I know he loved us, although he was also emotionally distant which I see now. A lot of what you wrote about seems more likely it could have been my ex I started to date at 19. He did not make my life easy, I often wonder why I tolerated his abusive behavior for years. Despite my relationship history, deep down I do feel fortunate and lucky as things always do seem to work out for me. I have noticed that people are drawn to me easily and seem to connect with me on a deep level. I do not have many superficial relationships.
