would i make a good nurse?....

Hello :)

I have written on here before. As my chart might suggest i have struggled to find a clear calling in terms of career. I have been in the fashion field - until recently when i realized the swallow superficial field was not for me. I do not like working in an office - and unlike my sag mid heaven suggests i do not like philosophy, religion and traveling in career terms - for instance being a flight attendant would be of no interest - nor would working with technology, astrology or teaching others.

I only say this as apparently this is what my 'Uranus in 10th house' and mid heaven suggest - but its confusing as i'm not interested!? I have always wanted to be a nurse - but when younger was talked out of it by my mother.

I am just about to start studying it. I am happier than ever with the choice as i have exhausted ALL options. I am hoping that some of my astro data may suggest that this is a fit for me - I need to give altruistically as it suggests? ..

First and foremost, no matter what Ura or Sag says, that vocation must be chosen, which will bring joy and satisfaction, otherwise it will become a drag later.

For the sake of Astrology, Jup rules your midheaven, but your midheaven is also coloured by all the other planets in the 10th, Uranus (freedom, also doing something for society), and Nep (service to others). Lord of the MC is in the domicile of Pisces (self sacrifice and undoing to serve others), and the Lord of the 6th (routine, domicile of Virgo: serving others) is in the 1st house (that what is important to one-self): keeping healthy and service to others. So, yes, I feel that nursing would be a sensible choice. By the way, with most that have Ura in the 10th, a 9 to 5 office job seldom comes into question. Ura also demands change and freedom, and, with different patients, each with their own challenges, and perhaps through working in shifts, that Ura will be satisfied.

Do you know what kind of a nurse you want to become, to a surgeon? I say this as your Mars is risen and you also have planets in the 8th.

I wouldn't study something regarding to health with that chart. If your MC were in Virgo, or at least you Jupiter, or Jupiter in the 6th I will say "okay something about health should work"... But I really not see you there.

Something related to ARTS "images" will be the clue.

Edit: This is my point of view so become a nurse if you want, whatever you want to be.

Hi Virgo18

Thanks for the feedback. Appreciate all opinions. My friend has almost my birthday..same year..five days apart we have many of the same aspects e.g venus trine mars ..she has a virgo midheaven and works in an art muesum..not interested in nursing at all. My male friend has a bucket load of virgo and 6th house placements and blood makes him sick.

Its all a bit confusing. I think people with 'Pisces' energy can be interested and make just as good nurse/care taker than people with 'Virgo' energy..both are service orientated..

I agree with you, Brooke. I would love to have a nurse who I knew had Venus in Pisces [rising-deleted Thank you, Samantha]! Compassion is a crucial healing/comfort element.

Brooke,

You do have chart factors that would suggest success in nursing.

Chiron which represents healing is making a 7 degree opposition with your MC. People with Chiron aspecting the MC are often attracted to positions where they can help other people by restoring their physical or mental health.

You have Pisces-Virgo on your AC-DC which gives you the orientation towards being of service to others. I think Ilene accidentally misread the planet on the AC, it is actually Mercury not Venus. Mercury in this prominent position gives you the gift for communicating effectively to others, this is an asset wherever you work.

The twelfth house and Pisces is connected with nursing elements such as hospitals and illness, service and compassion. Your MC ruler Jupiter is in the 12th house in Pisces. The ruler of your twelfth house Uranus is conjunct your MC by 5 degrees. Therefore, the connection between your twelfth house and tenth house of career is very strong.

The eighth house is associated with healing and transformation. You have Pluto and the Moon here, this suggests you could help transform lives by nursing people from ill health to good health.

I suggest you to buy a very good Vocational book.

Vocational Astrology by Judith Hill

According to Astro-Diagnosis A Guide to Healing by Max Heindel & Augusta Foss Heindel

Virgo ascendant and Sun or Mars in Virgo people often make them a very good nurse. Scorpio also rules all kind if healing and things relating to death and transformations.

The condition of the rulers of you 2nd, 6th and 10th house, signs of each cusp; 12th is hospital have a look the condion of your 12th house. Mercury, Moon and Saturn are often very important planets for nursing. Mercury rules communication the lord of Virgo and nursing requires massive communication and involving process of information and used of fingers and arms to apply your skills to delivery cares and treatments so again Mercury.

Moon is all kinds of Caring professions and motherly love. Saturn is discipline and self control also ruler of all unwanted and difficult occupation that deals with sickness and the death, sorrows. And don't forgot the Pluto and Scoprcio in your chart!!!!!

Some people suggest that Sun in 12th or Sun rules 12th is highly related to 12th house matters. Many night shift nurses have this link. Virgo ascendant always has Leo cusp in 12th so Sun always rules 12th house.

I am a registered nurse with Mars in Virgo, mutual reception with Mercury Scoprio in 3rd, Moon trine Mars in Capricorn ruler of Moon Saturn conjuncts Sun Scorpio and Sun rules 12th.

The basic information of 3rd house Mercury is success gained by communication and short trips that is relates to Virgo Mars oh also Neptune rules drugs. Neptune squares my Virgo Mars as the closest square for 1st and 4th angular houses represent "Actions of". Mars is fighter and in medical astrology which rules defence system and blood. Neptune is alcohol and defusion of chemical into body fluid that is medicine and so why drug addicted have domanated Mars Neptune aspects but Neptune Piseces also is the ruler of 12th hospital and unconditional love. It will depend on how these two function in a chart. But nurses Deal with alcohol and drugs a lot for sure.

I think you'd be better as a paramedic or ambulance driver. Seriously. With your sun and Venus in Aries, your moon-Pluto conjunction in the 8th house, and Uranus-Mars-Neptune in the 10th house of career squaring your sun, you need a certain amount of excitement in your life.

hahaha Waybread ..i see you have used the moon -pluto conjunction. Astrologers have always discounted that aspect in my chart as the orb is WAY too wide..which i agree with - many discount aspects over 3 degrees!

The 10th house is true though - and tied to the career element - but my personal worse nightmare would be tied to a desk all day doing repetitive office work. At least with nursing there are so many different sectors and you are dealing with different situations/patients on a daily basis.

Poyi ..thankyou. Your information will prove helpful to anyone considering a career related to the care/service professions. I will have to check out that book!

Hello, this post is interesting: :)
I am a nursing student thinking of specialising in emergency dept/ assisting surgeon in operating rm when i graduated...

I have virgo mc, mercury n mars in virgo with 10th house stelium in mercury mar venus, oso capricorn stelium in saturn uranus nep... i hv learned that sat/cap/10th hse dominant is career oriented, need to wk in large organisation involved discipline...

i have many planetary aspect to mc- sun mars conjuct mc, outer planets trines / sextile mc... mars is the highest planet on my chart n is well aspected with pluto nep uranus sat...

Both 6th n 8th hse r empty in my chart (except my chiron in 8th)
only have one planet on th 12th hse - pluto which is in scorpio
(Guess i may not be a typical nurse for i am more fire dominant than water- asc/sun/moon in fire only jup n pluto in water)

I choose nursing because its meaningful n has variety of fields to explore... i enjoy communicating with all sorts of ppl... talking with ppl stimulates my mind n keeps me going... the reason why i prefer emergency dept n the OT could be due to my moon in both fire sign n hse - aries 5th (need to stimulates myself with a lot of physical actions need challenging task... ) dislike routine uranus trine moon.

For nurses I see some Pisces Ascendent, Virgos, Tauruses, and Capricorns. I think being a nurse is perfect for you due to the Pisces (having empathy for patients)

yes. You have Mercury on your AC (I do too and I'm a nurse). You I think, based on your chart are quick with mind, quick thinking, Pisces ASC means you are emotionally equipped for the job. Aries means you are assertive enough to be a nurse to be able to challenge doctors, other nurses etc.

I think yes you will make a good nurse based especially on the Mercury on ASC and based on Aries Sun and placement of your moon too.
