Will my friend respond?

Hello friends,

Happy new year to everyone. I thank everyone who has taken the time to look at this message.

I sent new year wishes to my long time friend. He hasn't responded. Will he respond?

He has always responded back very quickly. But was wondering if he ignored me.

Your long time friend is signified by the 11th ruled by Mercury. And you are Sun. Mercury and Sun both are applying to a conjunction, so I would say your friend will reply. The two planets meet at around 16-17 Cap, so kind of quickly since both planets are in an cardinal sign and a succeedent house.
Moon's next aspect is favorable: a sextile to benefic Jupiter.

I am glad to hear this and thank you for updating.
I wonder, are you able to share the number of days it took for your friend to reply after you sent your message?
It would be helpful in studying the chart further.

Thank you and just thinking out loud here. So no need to reply if you prefer not to.
I see that you as Moon applied to sextile Jupiter, ruler of the 5th, in 2 degrees. And, interestingly the ruler of the house of friends, the 11th, is Merc, which is also in the 5th.
In terms of timing, Jup is in a fast sign and a medium house; Moon is in a slow sign and a fast house. So that could be kind of quickly, like 2 days.
So I am wondering if there in anything at all romantic with you toward your friend?
