Will I finish my PhD on time and well ?

Hello everyone!

I am in my final year on my PhD and a few months ago I raised the chart attached. It came at a time when my two supervisors were doubting my motivation and my ability to finish my projects on time. When I asked the question i was starting to doubt myself as well.

Background:
PhDs in Europe are considered a job much like every other job. Though we get the student status for bureaucratic reasons, we have the same rights and responsibilities as an employee of the University/Research Institute. They are also 3 to 4 years, depending on the domain. My contract is 3 years and is due in August 2016.
On paper, my situation looks bad enough. It took me 2 years to learn the business and conduct, analyze and write about one experiment. At the time of the chart I had only one year before my contracts is up but three more experiments to conduct, analyze and/or write about. However, the future should unfold exponentially, as the start was very slow but now i've got the knack of it.
My PhD will mainly be evaluated on the basis of the number of articles published about the experiments that I had conducted and the prestige of the journals where I published the articles. There is a minimum requirement of 2 studies/published articles.

The question:
I asked one question about two aspects, really. First, will I be able to finish all 4 experiments in the amount of time that I have? Second, will i be able to achieve that without dropping the ball on any of the studies?

For me, this could have easily been a "9th house or a 10th house" dilemma. Luckily, the 9th and 10th houses share the same ruler - Saturn.
But things don't look so good for me, do they? My ruler is Mercury in Virgo, its domicile and exaltation (also my birth Sun sign) but apart from applying oppositions to Neptune in the 10th house and Pluto in the 8th, it doesn't make aspects to any of the main planets.
Saturn, the ruler of the quesited is late in Scorpio, in the 6th house, both debilitating elements (though Saturn is in its own term).
My co-ruler, the Moon, has no dignity but it does fall in Saturn's face and term but also its detriment.

I'm trying to make some sense of it. The short answer would be a "no" to either one of my sub-questions above. Either I won't finish my PhD on time or i will compromise on one or more experiments for the sake of time.

The Moon does apply to Mars (ruler of the 6th, my efforts) in the third house (i.e. publishing papers?). So maybe it means I'll die trying but things won't go as planned? Perhaps I will ask (and receive) a contract extension, postponing my graduation?

Could someone please have a second look with a fresh pair of eyes?

Thanks you. I'm in your debt, as always!

Almost half of the remaining year available to accomplish your task has expired since your raised the chart. I wonder if I might enquire how matters have progressed with your supervisors and with your experiments and papers in these five months since you cast the chart? I think the actual unfolding of the question in the last five months could be helpful.

Hi Ilene,

Five months after raising the chart, I've collected data for two more studies, completely analyzed one and I'm in the process of analyzing the other one. With enough stamina I might be able to push for publication in March and May, respectively. However, the fourth and final study is still only an idea at the moment and I think it'll be the one holding me down. At best, we can start data collection in March, and push for publication in July-August.

Next week I am supposed to have a progress report meeting with my supervisors to discuss about everything. This is why i brought this chart back to light.
If I am to ask for a contract extension, I am mostly all by myself. I'll be looking into third party grants.

In my mind, I still cling to the hope that I'll make it even if I'll have to spend the weekends working. But at the same time I am aware of what the chart is saying...

As tikana says, things are not looking good. Moon was the planetary hour and Gemini was rising so no compatibility there. I wonder what that might mean.
And what the applying Moon-Mars conjunction could refer to.

Thank you!
