What do you make of what will come of this situation? I know some aspects would mean a certain outcome though I wouldnā€™t want to guess just based on that, and thatā€™s all I know right now.

Heā€™s abroad and weā€™ve never met. Come to point I have understood that nothing will probably become of us. He wants to date a woman near him. Weā€™ve built up quite a connection virtually. From my end I know that. Heā€™s been on a coffee date. Weā€™ve discussed reasons as to why it wouldnā€™t work but as I say, definitely from my end I got attached.

Not much is going to become of this. Reading this in whole sign, he's going to be far away from you, and you are going to be sad in the 8th house:

"Death, loss, or issues relating to these for the querent. Financial affairs of the wife or lover. Issues that bring us fear, anxiety or loss."

I was also recommended to use regiomontanus house system for horary. To which Iā€™ll attach. For me, this looks much clearly negative from my little knowledge

What will become of us?

You as Mars in Cancer are not doing well by essential dignity, in depression and fall. There is no aspect between you and him/Venus.
Your co-significator, Moon, does apply to aspect Venus, but it is by square which does not point to a lasting or satisfying connection. And while you/Moon receive Venus in Cancer well, he/Venus does not reciprocate. Venus unfavorably receives Moon by detriment.
It does not look like there is a lot of promise here.

Sorry as a layperson this would signify him not reciprocating the feelings or does this mean something else? Could you explain this as if I were a child? What makes Venus not receive moon well?

I would take it to most likely mean that he does not reciprocate your feelings.
Venus does not favor or like or receive Moon well because Moon is in a sign that Venus is not comfortable in, the sign of Aries.

With your significator, Mars, being in its depression and fall in Cancer, you are not well placed in this matter.
Additionally, an aspect represents the relationship between planetary bodies.
If there is no applying [moving towards] aspect between your significators, it points to no relationship forming between you.
I hope this may help clarify a bit more?
