Why am I this way?

Hello. I have read that someone's planets conjunct one's lights are significant, and can indicate attraction. I have my Sun in Leo, and Moon in Scorpio. However, I have to say that honestly Leo and Scorpio are literally the two signs that I hate the most. Absolutely cannot stand them. And people with heavy Leonine or Scorpio energy really, really put me off. And I wonder if this is because these signs rule my mutable houses? I have Leo on my 6th and Scorpio on 9th.

Anyway just wondering if you are generally attracted to the signs that your lights are in, or are you more like me.

I just found this thread

Conjunctions to your Sun and Moon should be very favourable

Probably there are other aspects in synastry that lead you to dislike them strongly

I have an affinity for Aquarius Suns, but I wouldn't say that I am attracted to them above all else, far from it.

I don't tend to like Sag Moons generally, but they seem to like me. Go figure

I think it's not a "rule" but....it's very common for someone, let's say, with a Moon in Virgo to be attracted to someone whose Sun conjuncts their Moon....
For me, it's someone's Sun OR Moon conjunct my Moon in Gemini. This has happened several times in my life...but....it did not guarantee either that the attraction was as strong on both sides....or if there was an attraction, that it would last....

In fact, I would WARN people who find this true in their synastry to look BEYOND this aspect.
For instance: if either person has a very negative aspect to this placement....like one person's Sun being opposed by Uranus...or the other person's Moon being square to Saturn or Neptune...etc...it would be that both people would be vulnerable to this difficult situation.
ONE placement or aspect does NOT make compatibility....which is why when we study synastry, we look at EVERY placement and aspect. (and by the way...TRANSITS.)

Deepening @ScorpioMaria 's post, the matter of relationships is heavily reliant on the synastry aspects: For instance, let's say, if your Sun is afflicted in your chart, that means the planet is in conjunction with in the synastry, also receives the affliction, therefore that may cause your aversion to Leo/Scorpio individuals.

Based on my experience, adjacent signs tend to be the most annoying and also the most fascinating, because they have little to nothing in common. So on the one hand, they can cause constant misunderstandings, but on the other hand, your own world opens up to new horizons if you are up for the adventure. That's why, when people ask me what their ideal partner is, I don't give any specific advice in terms of Sun or Moon signs. It all depends on what relationship you want. If you want an easy and smooth relationship with no ups and downs, then look for someone with Moon in the same element as yours. If you want to have a more dynamic relationship, look for someone with Moon square or opposite your own Moon sign. And if you are really up for adventure, look for someone whose Moon sign makes no aspect to your own Moon sign. That will be like stepping into another world. Potentially an amazing experience if you are mostly in a happy mood. But potentially hell on earth if you are mostly in a crappy mood. Bottom line, potentially you could get along just fine with anybody regardless of their configurations as long as you are in charge of your mood, but if you are mostly living life on autopilot and want to stay happy, then you better chose the relationship with the least trigger points. But that will also the most uneventful relationship then. So it all depends on what people want from a relationship.
