Which house to signify Ex while an existing spouse is involved in the chart?

Just curious.
If an existing spouse is involved in the question, he will be signified by 7th house, right?
So in this case which house is appropriate to describe an ex?
I heard it could be signified by Saturn, but what about either first house or 7th house was in a sign ruled by Saturn at the same time?

So, for example, if the question is "How will my spouse reacts if I meet with my ex?"
Then spouse will be taking 7th house, and in this case I will need to cast the chart and see which planet is reacting with both me and my spouse's rulers, and that certain planet would be the one signifying the ex?

Well- another way of doing it might be to give a house to the ex-is the ex a friend? (11th house). Is the ex still a romantic interest? (h5). Is the ex a secret lover? (h12)...you get my drift-ask yourself *what is the ex to me*.?
If the ex is *nothing* to you- you'll have to use h7 to represent your spouse-afterall, the spouse is the person you are asking about-the quesited...and look to see what upcoming aspects exist between your 2 significators. And what the moon will do.Leave the ex out of it to begin with and let the chart tell you what will happen between you and spouse.

I would have to agree with Olivia's method. Sometimes Lilly's method, as well. I think it takes experience to really know. :)

heard it could be signified by Saturn
Saturn is often used for the "cheated on" person. Venus could also personify another female. Like Lilly also suggests, see if the placement of either of these planets sounds like that ex spouse. Sometimes, when the Ascendant is a problem, then use the Moon. See if her placement rings true for the ex wife.

If you're asking specifically about an ex-spouse, and not about your current spouse, then the 7th house should work just fine. Otherwise, you may have to let the chart tell you who's who.

Some people use first triplicity ruler, second triplicity ruler, and so forth, and I can see some sense in that if you're asking about, say, the two jobs you currently hold down, but even then, something will usually clarify itself in the chart.

So 7, or if it involves both of them, see what the chart itself says.

I agree with you!
