whats more sensitive, a water moon or AC?

I was wondering what people think is more sensitive. A water rising sign, or a water moon?

A water moon, by far. The moon is a watery luminary, look at the affect it has on the tides and womens cycles. A water moon is a strong alignment of the same energy.

The ascendant is more of a fiery influence (if anything) being the start of the 1st house which is associated with Aries.

Moreover I'd say the Moon is just a stronger influence in general than the ascendant, anyway. So yeah definitely a water moon.

Personally, I think that it depends on what way you're talking about. A water ascendant will be more outwardly sensitive (and people will notice it quicker), although this can also mean that it's not always genuine. They're better at feigning sensitivity than some other ascendant placements. However, a water moon is more inwardly sensitive, and unless they have sun/asc water sign as well, people won't notice is as quickly. Their sensitivity may be more genuine. I have an ascendant in a water sign, so...

The first house is not necessarily automatically 'a fiery influence associated with Aries'
unless Aries is the ascendant sign

another possibility is
the water element ascendant sign is Scorpio
and its ascendant ruler Mars is located in Aries

This is a very interesting topic actually. My :leo: :moon: is in the 1st house (my Ascendant is :leo:). I have always felt like an :aries: :moon:. However, I have a :moon: :sextile: :mars: aspect, so that could also be the reason. :innocent:

Water :moon: is definitely more sensitive than water Ascendant. The most sensitive water :moon: is :cancer: :moon: and the least sensitive is :scorpio: :moon:.
The way I see it, it's more about different kinds of sensitivity, not about who is the most sensitive. Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces are all equally sensitive, but in a very unique way. The sensitivity of Cancer is very different from the sensitivity of Scorpio or a Pisces.

That's a generalisation
and although generalisation is fun it is unreliable
Cancer Moon has Jupiter as exalted ruler
Scorpio Moon has Mars as domicile ruler
Mars may be in any of twelve different signs
Jupiter may be in any of twelve different signs
so that creates multiple variables

Water ascendant is wired up to be "sensitive" every moment of every day, so I disagree with a lot of posts here
Not really 100% of the time. When you are alone and by yourself, your ASC loses it's influence. ASC is only relevant for outward focus, especially in co-creative endeavors. If you are just for yourself in private or with someone where you can let your hair down, then the Moon and the 4th House are more relevant.

I have a Water Asc and an Air Moon, and I definitely cry more in private than in public. I tend to keep my own feelings to myself, so people hardly have any idea of what's bubbling below the surface. I'm extremely private and secretive about how I feel, but I'm equally extremely sensitive... to everything. Might be that my Sun is conjunct my IC as well, but anyway you'd think that with an Air Moon I'd be way more detached and disengaged from my feelings and that the sensitivity is just a social mask. That's not always how it works. You have to look at the whole Chart.

Ascendant describes the physical appearance as well

therefore
even when 'you are along and by yourself' you have a physical appearance
and so
your Ascendant maintains its influence even when 'you are alone and by yourself'

Ascendant describes Life, vitality and health as well as
Stature, colour, complexion, form and shape of body.

Also
the condition of 1st House and that of its planetary ruler
indicates the level of personal vitality and strength

Hi Jupiterasc,

Is this according to your own observations?

Few would dispute that
when one is alone/by oneself, one's physical being is present

and so
If you have a contrary experience brett

would be helpful if you would elucidate

If you would state your opinion brett that would be helpful

During years of observation I have from my point of view come to understand that there is a significant difference between what I have seen in people while observing them correlated to astrological configurations and what I have read on astrological sites. Because my intention is to learn and expand my understanding and knowledge to serve those around me, this is one of my standard questions I ask people who makes statements in order for me to grades its validity and thus if its going to be of value in my study.

Independent observations from other people is something I appreciate and values highly in my gathering of knowledge,

Thank you Jupiterasc for giving me the opportunity to explain my perspective,

B

Thank you brett for clarifying your perspective
Clearly you have discovered that it is simply not possible for online astrological sites
to provide even remotely valid 'readings'
because they are 'churned out' by computer software
and as such
are the "one-size-fits-all School of Astrology"
closely aligned to the "cookbook School of astrology"
and as you have discovered
these kinds of 'readings' are simply unreliable

brett, the basics are:
that any water moon and any water ascendant has a planetary ruler

and furthermore
if you keep in mind that

A PLANET acts.

A HOUSE shows the area of life in which the planet acts

as well as
how strongly the planet can act.

and

A SIGN shows the quality of the planet's expression.

and then consider the question of the relative 'sensitivity of a water moon and a water ascendant
while focusing on the three possible water signs

i.e.
Cancer - ruler Moon

Scorpio - ruler Mars

Pisces - ruler Jupiter

clearly then
the house location

as well as the sign location
of the planetary ruler of the any water Ascendant and/or any Moon
are important factors when gauging 'sensitivity'

and so then
if you start working from that idea, you can build on it

i.e.
focus on

- which planet
in which house is the planet?

houses-labeled.gif

how comfortable is the planet in its sign

what does the planet rule in the chart?

Ok, so is this based on your own observations and/or experience?

Thank you for your efforts,

Ok my case is also,I believe suitable for the topik. I have a Asc canser, but the 1h empty and my moon in Aries in 10h.
I am the case that everyone like to say that I have no feelings and for many years people call me insensitive person, which is not excactlly far away from the truth. By that I am very logical for someone with not a bit air in my chart-seriously nothing. I definattely feel uncomfortable with emotional people and yes I believe extremelly about my self that I can control my feelings. But I have to admit that I am quite sensitive to others people mood If someone is agry I can understand it very well.
