Well Natasha I am not an atheist as I cannot disprove the existence of God since it is a postulate that few can agree upon. I am certainly not a big fan of religion and as an amateur historian I can only marval at how so many have been slaughted for the glory of God. John Lennon had it right in my opinion, "Imagine there's no countries, and no religion too, nothing to kill or die for..." Something like that.
I would think that if the soul exists, and I keep an open mind on the issue, then it assumes a dynamic of persistance at physical death, otherwise what is the point? If so i wonder what it is made of and in what dimension it exists. I have read the posts on this thread carefully and no one has been able to define these areas except in a tautological manner, by defining in terms of that which it they are trying to define - the soul exists just because it does. To me this is difficult to accept, although I accept that belief in the soul is comforting to those who are concerned about their own mortality.
