for context, im asking about an ex. recently he's been stalking my socials by liking my posts but he wont make a clear move such as hitting me up, so i was wondering maybe he wants me to make the first move? or idk i just want to know why is he doing that.

While I don't think the chart can tell us what his actual motivation is, it does suggest that it isn't about getting back together.
He/Venus is moving slowly toward stationing retrograde and then moving away from you/Mars. So Venus and Mars ultimately separate before they meet by conjunction.
Your two significators are in your 5th house of romance, but his turned 11th. So I see him being more motivated by ideas of friendship, if what he is doing is actually anything more than curiosity [Moon applies to sextile Mercury]?

interesting.. i always feel like its a way of manipulating me into not moving on? because we didn't talk in almost a year now. prior to this we'd be on and off and i would always be the one initiating the contact till he actually said that he knows i'll always come back to him.

That could be a possible explanation, if he is like that?
If it is, that is certainly not the kind of person one would give much thought to, tho...

With his ruler, Venus, opposite Pluto on the 5H-11H axis seems like he's trying to keep tabs on you and possibly even taunt you by liking your posts on social media. Don't fall for it though. Venus is also squaring Jupiter so I think he's just being extra and trying to get a reaction out of you. Him flirting with the idea of you by liking your posts is weak. Remember that he's an ex for a reason!

its exactly what i thought, just in time of me moving on for real its like he's sensing my energy or something!
