I've never seen differences in astrological thinking or techniques censored here. I've never seen anyone shut down on technical issues. Maybe I've missed it. Not that I haven't seen lots of occasionally funky exchanges over technical issues.
To me it looks like the Chat and Hot Topic areas are where the majority of the trouble is. The non-astrological areas. Just saying.

You joined in '22, after the Trad/Mod wars were already over, and "agree to disagree" and "fine, it that works for you" became the norm rather than the exception.

There is still some (at times fairly rancorous) Mod/Trad conflict here, resulting in people leaving or banned. I'm sure (mostly) separating the combatants into their respective areas has helped.
Were people censored because of disagreement with what they were technically doing, or because of ad hominem attacks?

Humans tell stories. That is what we do.
History, geology, physics, astronomy, economics, philosophy, psychology, all the religions, astrology [and others that I have failed to mention here]...
all are trying to tell a story about how the we as humans, the world, the cosmos, how they work on some level.
I see no conflict in worldview when we look through the lens of astrology or though the lens of science or the lens of technology. They all tell a story, none more valid or truthful than another to my mind. Simply another story. Perhaps the kaleidoscope of stories taken together may someday tell the whole story...
And yet somehow I doubt it...
and am grateful that is so.

No matter how much I ponder the nature of things in the context of astrology, the conclusion is always the same - either we believe in mythological living gods in the form of planets (interpretations of planets as symbolic manifestations - essentially the same thing) - or we build a new astrology from scratch

Because as I said earlier these are entities of the same order

whether it is a manifestation of some laws or entities/gods personifying these laws - it is equivalent
and this means the existence of some higher entities, besides we have the concept of abodes - which brings us closer to conscious gods

it is simply a fact that must be recognized

You keep returning to the very beginning, or you don’t want to hear me.

It’s quite simple.
Planets have spatial coordinates and a strict time cycle of orbiting around the sun—of course, we can make predictions, and moreover, we do observe astrological phenomena.

Ancient people chose to personify these planets; they simply had no other option. For them, these were higher, clearly living beings.

I suggest we move to other threads of the forum or find a similar topic for discussion.
