US - a Uranian Country

For many of us, there's a LOT more to Life than politics. Since politics is extremely adversarial and affects our materialistic world, would that place it under the rulership of Saturn?

For the Cornwallis chart, Saturn isn't what the U.S.A. is really all about.

The Preamble to the Constitution is a statement of what the Constitution was intended to accomplish. It backs up Tim's concept of Security and Liberty, and includes the words "secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity", and "promote the general Welfare".

There's another phrase though, which I find interesting: "insure domestic Tranquility." There's been very little of THAT for quite some time now!

Also, "in Order to form a more perfect Union" wouldn't include the "us versus them" paradigm we seem to have fallen into.

Hi David-- Mars is the planetary ruler of armed conflict. In a mundane chart, it's the 7th house.

And "welfare" in this context does not mean aid to dependent children or social assistance. It means general well-being.

And I don't see what the right wing conspiracy theorists feel they gain by their strongly adversarial stance. It doesn't help out the facts or the logic. Ah, well...follow the money? If it attracts viewers and listeners, sponsors will follow and then it becomes a self-perpetuating cycle of outrage.

The one striking thing about the 20/200 year cycle is that when a president is elected in the US when the conjunction is in an earth sign he dies in office. Reagan was attacked, but didn't die - he was elected when the conjunction was in Libra.

Makes it rather interesting now given Biden's age and poor health. But he was elected in the year of the Aquarius conjunction.

We shall see...

Oddity,

That's about the world at large and I'm focusing on the US chart and the effects of transits to that chart.

Focused on the US,

Tim

Did you read Andy Ngo's Unmasked? If so, what did you think of it?

Just to set the record straight (yet again) there is no hard evidence on property damaged from the Black Lives Matter protests. But the rightwing allegations on deaths and injuries were seriously and falsely inflated.

https://www.politifact.com/factchec...of-black-lives-matter-killed-36-people-injur/

For one thing, some people who showed up at their rallies were rightwing counter-protestors or anarchists, not BLM supporters. The Radcliffe-Harvard study counted only 6 deaths, several perpetrated by far-right counter-protestors, not by BLM supporters.

According to the Harvard study: https://www.radcliffe.harvard.edu/n...re-overwhelmingly-peaceful-our-research-finds

The BLM protests were overwhelmingly peaceful. Of the over 7305 BLM events, police made arrests in 5% and used tear gas in 2.5% Injuries were reported in 1.6% of the protests. 3.7% of the events involved property damage. Most of the looters and arsonists were not actual BLM protesters. That's over 96% of the BLM protests as relatively peaceful. People may have been marching and chanting, but these are rights protected under the first amendment.

There are as of yet no reliable figures on property damage, as these would have to be gleaned from insurance companies.

This is not to deny the historical significance of the BLM movement. It may well show up significantly in relation to the Yorktown horoscope or others proposed as the "birth" charts of the USA.

Uranian? Probably. But in the sense of Uanian freedom and liberation.

Just curious, Tim as to how the Tulsa massacre of 1921 and recent declaration of June 19 (Juneteenth) as a national holiday compare with your chart.

Waybread, how does aid to dependent children and assistance to the economically disadvantaged not contribute to the general well-being of this country?

And, an adversarial attitude in national politics doesn't mean armed conflict unless it spins totally out of control.

All,

Today I want to use the Cornwallis chart to look at one of the most violent, damaging wars to EVER happen IN the US: the Civil War. In the Cornwallis chart, transiting Pluto is squaring natal Mars conjunct Pluto, suggesting the VERY violent fighting war that was broke out on April 12, 1861 (for which the chart is cast). Also of interest is transiting Uranus opposing natal Saturn unaspected in the hidden 12th house, suggesting a rebellion against the hidden structures of the US.

Here, indeed, in the South was TRUE "systemic racism" as the entire Southern social structure was based on slavery and subservient blacks. Southerners were dependent on black slaves for their food, their home maintenance, and their daily routines. This dependency on slaves made Southerners VERY resistant to freeing the slaves they depended on for their relaxed style of life in which slaves did ALL the hard work. Freeing the slaves threatened all of this and the South fought back hard. Ultimately the South lost and their entire system of life crashed down around their ears.

All of this is very strong emphasized in how transformative Pluto, militaristic Mars, and restructuring Uranus interact in the Cornwallis chart. However, in the Sibly chart there is no such combination of Pluto, Mars, or Uranus. While there is a Uranus return indicated, it is not combined with Mars or Pluto that would suggest the tremendous violence and destruction that took place during the Civil War.

Looking at the War,

Tim

P.S, While some say that the BLM protests were peaceful, they are looking only at the DAYTIME protests which were mainly peaceful. It was at NIGHTTIME when the rioting, looting, and firebombing took place. For example, the destructive riots BLM started due to George Floyd caused 1-2 billion dollars in damage, as you can see by searching for "2 billion dollars damage BLM". This is ONLY for George Floyd-inspired riots: the many OTHER BLM riots are NOT included in this figure, so the actual TOTAL cost of BLM damage due to rioting is MUCH higher. You can also search for "BLM rioting," "BLM looting," and "BLM firebombing" to get more info on each of these occurrences.

Just pointing out that the U.S. D.O.J. is going through a :chiron: return when BLM protests over George Floyd's death started (A little before actually.....).

I think social assistance does contribute to the well-being of the country. There's not a case to be made for little kids being homeless or malnourished.

Armed conflict in the 7th house context means enemies of the state. The 7th also includes lesser types of animosity.

Tim, good work on the Civil War. This is the type of research necessary to make a case for a particular root chart.

Do give us a break on googling "2 million dollars damage BLM"!! -- if you do that, of course you're going to get anti-BLM rightwing pronouncements. And from which sources?? Fox News and the NYPost.

Ditto if you Google stuff like BLM firebombing. You've stacked the deck. Try googling "BLM protests mostly peaceful" for an alternative view.

I followed through on the links provided by the Axios article that came up on BLM property damage. I found that the bulletins by the insurance industry made no effort to distinguish between damage caused by BLM protestors vs. others who took advantage of volatile situations to commit mayhem. For example:
https://www.iii.org/fact-statistic/facts-statistics-civil-disorders

"... preliminary estimate of insured losses from PCS which is still subject to further evaluation, would be more than $1 billion..." Still too much money but much more conservative than the exaggerated claims.

The Harvard University article was much more careful in pointing out that the BLM protests attracted violent hangers-on with no commitment to their social justice cause.

All,

At this point, I think there are enough significant transits and progressions to the Cornwallis chart to give it real consideration as being a truer chart for the "birth" of the US. While we won't agree on BLM and the damage done, the level of rebellion and anger (putting aside for now the issue of firebombing) is consistent with a Uranus, Mars, Pluto interaction. BLM angry rebellions ARE STILL ongoing after MANY months, which fits more with a Uranus transit to Mars rather than the other way around.

Wrapping it up for now,

Tim

What really bothers me, is that the issue of police brutality against ALL citizens, even though it affects minorities disproportionately, isn't being addressed on a national level.

BLM-related violence has completely derailed the cause it was originally supposed to be about.

What in Cornwallis explains things like the tragic, unnecessary, police shootings such as happened on January 6th in D.C.; the "War on Drugs" which has turned the urban areas into war zones with the police as shock troops; and, the unacceptably high incarceration rate in the U.S.A.?

And, why so much apathy about these important flaws in Modern-day America?

One wonders why a rightwing Trump supporter focuses almost exclusively on a movement triggered by excessive lethal force by police against Black males, while ignoring the Jan 6 capitol riot (which caused considerable property damage to the capitol building.)

I am unaware of any BLM demonstrations in this calendar year.

Meanwhile, thanks, Tim for a thought-provoking thread with actual astrology in it.

The fatal police shooting of a Trump supporter during the break in has finally caused Trump supporters to question police sovereignty.

In Oregon, the Police rapid response team quit the team (not the police force) because of an OBVIOUS case of police brutality by one of its members that led to disciplinary action.

Sounds like Oregon does have a police brutality problem that could explain the violence.
