I'm a student of Hellenistic traditional astrology, I feel that this should be posted, so any students who interested in 'traditional' astrology should read this.

One of the thing that irk me the most is modern astrology like to assign the 12 signs to 12 houses (example Leo is "natural" ruler of 5th house).
Sorry, No. I have Sun in 9th. And assigning Leo (the Sun) to 5th house below the horizon, is insulting the Sun. The Sun belong ABOVE the horizon and shine bright, NOT below the horizon in 5th house, that insulting the definition of what the Sun is. So No, Leo don't "naturally" rule 5th house.

So please read this if you new to traditional astrology and want to study it. This is the basic you should know.
