Understanding Myself (shy, gothic, nerd guy)

Hello Valdemar here (First name Alexander)

I was into astrology since childhood but never went very deep, but starting it now.

What I would like to understand is two things about my self especially:

I am a "dark" person, friends/people call me Goth (although I am not very hard core), Black is my favorite color (I am feeling more sure of myself in black) then red and white. I prefer Victorian style outfits (if I had a ton of money that is)

I love to think/read/research for hours about things that are considered Occult/taboo. Since childhood I read books about other religions, taboo things (thanks to my mothers library). Death, Life, God/Gods, powers... (I am Pagan)

(and I listen to Metal and Classical music mostly)

By my chart I should be the reverse (as far as I understand) having planets in signs/houses that are more pragmatic and materialistic rather than spiritual/emotional. Having no planets in 8th house (house of death/mystery, right?) I do have 3 asteroids there (Nessu, Orcus, Vertex) if that helps.

---

The other thing is, again according to my chart I should be very extroverted, open person. And I am rather shy (been so since my earliest memory) , I have no problem talking to people, I just avoid them, and prefer to be left alone. I enjoy having a very small number of close friends rather than a huge amount of "meaningless" friends. I am also very emotional, and have anxiety problems sometimes.

Thank you for reading :) And I will really appreciate any answers. :)

Valdemar, any correct natal chart is dependent on an exactly accurate time of birth - so it is very important to ask how certain are you that your natal chart is based on a reliable time of birth?

Actually, your chart does indicate some introversion, especially with women. For one thing, Moon square Saturn indicates a shy and awkward person (I have this aspect in my chart too).

All of your planets except Pluto and Saturn are located in the Northern Hemisphere (which is the bottom half of your natal chart). This means that you're more attuned to your inner world than dealing with others. It probably explains why you're more private and like to be left alone, than examining your Aries Sun/Sagittarius Ascendant/Aquarius Moon combination would suggest.

A more senior member could confirm this interpretation that I'm about to make, but your Pluto in Scorpio (which means that dark and taboo subjects fascinate you) is the highest planet in your natal chart. Pluto represents change, and Scorpio is very interested in the dark and unknown. Thus, this area will be emphasized in your life. Saturn in Scorpio in the mystical-oriented 12th House / House of Self-Undoing is likely a contributing factor.

You have most of your planets on the lower horizon of your chart, which is generally indicative from my experience of someone that is more introverted or shy.

Also you have Pluto in Scorpio trine your Moon. Pluto loves the mysterious things in life -taboo topics - secrets of all sorts, delving.
and it's trine your moon(emotions, inner nature). this to me, means that the dark feels very natural to you as do all the interesting things that lie there.

And Uranus(planet of rebellion/countercultures/all sort of kooky things/and the unexpected) in your 1st house(house of self/identity) would only add to the above. Also since its in the house of self. It's also is in the mix of how you come across to others.

I'm still a novice when it comes to reading charts. so these are the more obvious things which stand out :)

best of luck.

Hello,

Thank you very much for the replies, I will look more into what you said.

I did know about Pluto in Scorpio, but I thought it was a whole generation thing, rather than individual. But it does makes sense.

I had no idea about planets being in northren Hemisphere affect the personality as well, very good to know.

And yes I am very shy with women that is true.

PS: also time of birth is accurate (at least the one on birth certificate 00 45 in CET, Central Eurpean Time, Paris France). And the link is very interesting, thanks.

Thanks you, really appreciate the answers.

Good news that you at least have an officially recorded time of birth Valdemar  and so you may find of interest common issues even with officially recorded times of birth - as explored at this thread on verifying the ascendant/descendant/MC/IC angles http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51626

Pluto in Scorpio is generational. But it is in trine aspect to your Aquarius Moon. That is where it becomes significant and more individual.

Understood, thank you :)

I guess Uranus/Counter culture did influence my life too, especially at a younger age, I hated to be classified as "normal". Now though, I am just myself, and care a bit less about normal or not (although obviously few people see me as normal).

I will try the suggestions in the link and see what the stars did in important part of my life (although remembering the right time will be hard)

Thanks you all very much for your time in helping me seeing things I didn't see.
