Transits to the US natal Moon

I am AMAZED at current transits to the Moon in the Sibly chart of America:

Currently Jupiter is about to turn retrograde at the 27th degree of Aquarius, Neptune and Chiron are so close, at only one degree away.

This is a stunning spiritual transit that would equal a major spiritual event, like the awakening of (a part) of the American people (finger crossed). Jesus is coming, make way !

Hey, what are you people doing out there in America?

(on the other hand, the same transit may VERY WELL explain the current pandemic flu and Neptune rules infections and Jupiter makes sure that more and more people get it).

I think this also describes the way our country is looking at our new president. Many see him as a spiritual, religious figure, and have high hopes for his ability to produce miracles here for us all.

a) the mental plus psychological mind-set of the masses, the public opinion, so there indeed might be mental awakening/broadening of mental horizons of some sort. America's relations might be affected/improve (Jup/Nep - growth of compassion) to its neighbours (3rd house involved).

b) the various communicational and information-distribution channels such as the press, newspapers, radio and television, internet.. (as well as modes of transportation such as cars, buses,..). Maybe a new Microsoft era will dawn upon us (after all, it is all happening in the sign of the inventor- Aqua).

Btw, that Nep-Jup-Chi conjunction is setting alive those lovely trines of the Moon; and good, old Luna rules the 8th house of taxes, international finances (more lendings and borrowings?), etc.

Btw, that Nep-Jup-Chi conjunction is setting alive those lovely trines of the Moon..

I was just having a look at America's chart and noticed that those Moony trines, that have been triggered by the Jup-Nep-Chi trio, are to the planets placed in the 7th house of open/known enemies (as opposed to the 12th of secret enemies). On the 3rd of June, America's biggest and most-known opponent: "Bin-Laden tells America to be ready for revenge against the U.S. policy."

Besides the transits to the natal Moon, currently Pluto is tightly opposing Venus (ruler of MC) in the 7th, and also Jupiter (Asc lord) over there. Uranus is getting closer and closer to finishing its transit of the 3rd house and approaching the IC (home) of America. As the 4th house lies opposite the 10th house of the nation's govt; transits (esp of the malefics, which the outers are considered to be in traditional/mundane Astrology) over the 4th could mean opposition to the govt (and, in this case, it will be Uranus). At the same time, Saturn (structure, also disgrace, setbacks, or in mundane-astro language: fall of the empire) is moving in large steps from the 9th (of overseas - and all that happened there) towards the 10th house (of the country's public reputation; govt; those in power).

In about a year's time, about early July next yr, Uranus (possible sudden turn of events) will be about 0.16' conjunct the IC/opp MC; Sat will be 2°00 conj the MC and opp the IC; and Pluto (transformation) will square the IC, whilst rolling over 1st house (country and its people as a whole). Both the planets that rule the two most public points: the MC (public world and govt), ie Venus; and the Asc, ie Jup; and are both located in the house of open enemies, the 7th, will also face heavy oppositions by tr-Pluto and the N-Node (so conj to the S-Node) as well as squares by tr-Jup and Ura smack on the IC, and Sat bang on the MC. This could be a time of some turmoil and chaos. However, more indepth study of this chart and of the progressions, etc is needed before anything more can be said at all.

That's how I'd look at it also.

A couple of months ago I saw something on local TV about how in certain parts of the States people who had lost jobs - and so found themselves without health insurance - were being treated in ad hoc free medical clinics (in community centres, and such) being run by medicos who felt that medical attention should be a right and not earned, and so were giving their services for free.

That is an example of the opening of America's heart. That Triple Conjunction is hanging around for some time, perhaps long enough for there to be a real noticeable change at grass-roots level.

I think that the emotions (Moon) of the American people are really taking a beating from all of the economic unraveling that has been going on. People are finally forced to see our country and government for what it has been-a profit generating machine for the wealthy elite. For a long time even before the collapse, of all of the industrialized countries, we have had the highest percentage of our people living in poverty. People tended to believe in an idealized image of America that just wasn't real (Neptune high in the Sibly chart). Now, as more and more people loose their jobs, we are being forced to recognize some ugly things about our profit driven, market economy. It doesn't always work for the masses of people, even as the rich get gifted with "bail-outs".

Pluto in Capricorn is something that we have needed for a long time. Since Neptune was in Capricorn in the 80's we have idealized corporate corruption and greed as being not only acceptable, but expected. It is taking Pluto to blow that idealized nonsense out of the water.

As the tail end of the Bush administration became so increasingly and blatantly corrupt, the ugliness of our profit driven, corporate-controlled infrastructure and economy was staring us in the face for the first time in a long time. We Americans have to get hit in the wallet to really see what is real. Pluto is taking the garbage out and transforming our ideas about corporations, business, economics, and government (all Capricorn things).
I agree that electing Obama was the people's collective act of rebellion against all of the Saturnian elements that the Bush administration so perfectly embodied. Are we putting too much confidence in Obama? Maybe. The change that we need will have to come from us demanding it. Hopefully the wake of Pluto in Capricorn will leave us with a more austere and realistic financial system that puts human beings and our precious environment above profit.

Also, it is interesting that the coming eclipse will fall at 29 degrees of Cancer-right in the US's eighth house of death, transformation, "other people's money", and financial markets. I think that these are all signs that our current ecnonomic and financial system aren't sustainable, and have to change. Clearly the saga of economic transformation will be going on for some time.

estrella, I enjoyed reading your last 2 posts. You expressed the dilemma very clearly and passionately. Pluto in Capricorn appears to be removing the Neptunian fog from the view of the populace.

From outside the US there are many people who have been watching and waiting - for decades, as it turns out - hoping that when it all came tumbling down it would not be too painful for the everyday folk.
