‘Our own Hell is everything we would cast off, reject. If we do not face our Hell, we continue to deposit the unwanted, the loathsome, the horrific in our neighbour and try to kill it there.’

This is an example of the beautiful artwork I mean, I feel like calling it 'conscious pornography.'

Conscious pornography -

Tantra quotes:

'Tantra is primarily about uniting love, spirituality and sexuality with awareness.'
- Osho

'The basic assumption of tantra is that God not only exists in the superconscious, God also exists in the lowest forms of existence.'
- Frederick Lenz

'Tantra is a scientific approach. Tantra is alchemy; it can transform your centres, it can transform the other’s centres, it can create a rhythm and harmony between you and your beloved. That is the beauty of Tantra. It is like bringing electricity into your house. Then you can turn it on and off whenever you want. And you can have a thousand and one uses of it; it can cool your room, it can heat your room. Then it is a miracle. These seven centres in you are nothing but centres of body electricity. So, when I am talking about lightning, don’t think of it only as a symbol – I mean it literally.'
- Osho

'When you are making love don’t control. Go into uncontrol, go into chaos. It will be fearful, frightening, because it will be a kind of death. And the mind will say “Control!” And the mind will say, “Jump in and keep control, otherwise, you will be lost in the abyss of it.” Don’t listen to the mind, get lost. Abandon yourself utterly and without any technique, you will come to see a timeless experience. There will be no two in it: oneness. Consciousness will be there, a lucid passive consciousness will be there, you will know what is happening because you will be fully aware. But you will not be there; awareness will be there. You have to imbibe the Tantra spirit – it is not a technique to be learned.'
- Osho

‘Something ancient in us bends us towards the origins of the whole thing. We either drown in the splits and confusions of our lives, or we surrender to something greater than ourselves. The water of our deepest troubles is also the water of our own solution.’

‘Until the shadow is integrated into the personality, the world appears filled with opponents or adversaries who are actually products of the unconscious; afterward, people can be seen as individuals, even people who disagree with us.’

Here’s the full Rumi poem.

“I said: what about my eyes?
He said: Keep them on the road.

I said: What about my passion?
He said: Keep it burning.

I said: What about my heart?
He said: Tell me what you hold inside it?

I said: Pain and sorrow.
He said: Stay with it. The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”

Every time I come across something from Rumi, I love and agree with everything he says. Thank you for sharing the full poem. It is so apt for this thread about a self-healing journey to remember that all the hurt, wounds and pain we experience in the end lead us to wisdom. :D

I went out for a wee evening walk today to clear my mind for work tomorrow and not long got back. On the way out, it felt like someone was watching me and I got a bit scared but I couldn’t see anyone when I scanned the park (it was still light). I wondered if the park was haunted and not to be scared if it was so I told myself to relax.

Further along, I saw a little hedgehog crossing the path and I stopped to take a photo of it and got closer to do so. I then decided to take a video. As soon as s/he saw me, it stopped, so I stood back a bit and after about 10 seconds it started trying to climb up on the grass ledge again. I wanted to get a close up so tried getting a little bit closer again and again, the hedgehog stopped.

The way I was feeling, I wondered what this meant and straight away I received insight that the hedgehog was not so much trying to protect itself from a predator , but asking me to respect its boundaries by the back and forth dance that we did. I stepped back again so it could continue its path until it disappeared off into the woods.

In order to survive or keep going, I left my ego at the door. Or more truthfully, it was torn from me and it hurt when it was taken but I accepted it and kept going, and said goodbye to my expectations. In return, I was humbled and given grace. Still hurt like a ***** tho.

There is no coming to consciousness without pain. People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own soul. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious"
Carl Jung

‘People who deny the existence of dragons are often eaten by dragons. From within.’

‘I talk about the gods, I am an atheist. But I am an artist too, and therefore a liar. Distrust everything I say. I am telling the truth. The only truth I can understand or express is, logically defined, a lie. Psychologically defined, a symbol. Aesthetically defined, a metaphor.’
