I have a sixth house stellium including Sun, Mercury, Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn. On top of that, I have Moon in Virgo... talk about pedantic ;)

Sixth house is also small animals and pets, and Sagittarius is one of those outdoorsy signs that love animals, Howl, so maybe you like animals or have a lot of pets?

This is the best comment so far. Talk of enemies etc is not accurate.
I have a 6th house stellium with the SUn as ruler and also posited there.

Many people have trouble with this house which I dont understand.
It is the house of everyday rituals, services, employment in order to have proper clothing, food and shelter. Where the domestic animals come is originally it pertained to those who gave milk, meat and wool etc. In the old days it was the house of servants and slaves. It deals with diet and hygiene and herbal remedies. Those that can be grown at home etc.
It is the mundane world and the practical and necessary. I have Saturn Mercury and Pluto also there. THe aspects from elsewhere in the chart tell the full story always.

It can indicate afflictions of the body mainly due to poor eating habits.
Saturn for instance influences disease of the bones. Mercury can influence the lungs, hands, arms and shoulders and Pluto the regenerative organs and the elimination process.

The Sun in Leo in my case indicates scoliosis of the spine Once again the degree of the sign points to the particular part of the body affected.

It is the house of the Virgin, i.e. the spinster aunt, who spun the clothing etc for the family hence the name "spin"ster.....It does not mean no sexual experience really but being unmarried and whole in oneself. i.e. vestal virgins were actually temple prostitutes as well as taking care of the rituals.

HOpe this helps somewhat.

OK (rudely butting in) I've got Mars in the 6th House - the only major planet anywhere in that quadrant, so it is the 'handle' of a bucket. It is in Taurus.

No longer so lonely in this quadrant maybe. Varuna is 3 degrees away from it, Nessus is also close by. Oh my.

Initially this can be lazy to get going, but when it does, it has all the meomentum of an express train.

Probably no accident that I always felt that if it ever had to be a question of working for a crust, I might just be a whole lot better off being self-employed......

Soneone once warned me to 'watch that Mars of mine.' It may be easy to see ourselves as butter not melting in our mouths etc, but maybe in the end, I have underestimated how a Mars like this can come across. All the same, being ruled by Venus and not being in a natually 'assertive' house, it is often not easy to know when to be diplomatic and 'nice' and when to be firm and uncompromising: it can be easy to get it wrong.

Healthwise, it seems to mean a proneness of one or two recurring chronic inflammations (it squares Chiron) and lots of throat infections because of overuse of the old voice at work.
The only legitimate place is Mars in Taurus and you have described this perfectly. THere can be conflicts at work or macho behaviour or masculine energies you have to deal with. However we need the aspects from elsewhere to determine the full influence. I dont use CHiron but I have heard it is the wound we cant heal ourselves but can heal others and they can in turn heal us. What is Venus doing elsewhere? It can mean working with money, investments and property, anything that is earthy such as horticulture, farming, pottery and in some cases music is a strong influence. You may like hot spicy foods as well having a sweet tooth. Conversely these things may disagree with you.

THere are many scenarios.

in my sixth house....I've got Mars (21 degrees) in Aries.. and I'm pretty sure I could start an argument with myself, I am very accident prone, and run very high fevers when ill...
oh..and what do you know..chiron is there at 20 degrees ..so I'm just learning here but this must be pretty significant (dangerouse even?)

My 6th house starts in Gemini and I have Mars(21ºGemini)there.I have a book that says that Mars in the6th shows cruelty towards small animals, but it has worked the other way around for me;I'm afraid of animals.

I'm nervous and a little bit hyperactive and like to do puzzles and crafts and work with my hands, just for entertainment(Ok,this last sentence sounds weird LOL).I have mutual recpetion between Mars and Mercury, which may explain why I love debates and kinda enjoy arguments lol.

I would think planets opposing Mars from the12th house would explain the fear of animals, but I have nothing opposing Mars(not counting with the Part of Fortune in Sagitarius).

All the best,
Lissa
whoa! I have very strong feelings toward animals..feelings of love and protection, especially the small ones..this is a soft spot with me..and I have mars in aries in the 6th

Gemini cusps my sixth with Jupiter in Cancer in6/7

All my animals have a wild streak in them. My dog may be half fox. Once, he disappeard for seven months, Jan through July. Nothing wrong with him when we got him back.
MamaCat had only three legs, one back leg missing when she wondered up to my back door. She was a trip, Talked all the time in cat talk. She was a Great mama cat. Once when I was leaving, one of her kittens under my car. I tried to get it to come out but could not. She saw what I was doing and told the kitten to come out.

KingKitty looked like the cat in Alice in Wonderland.

One time my room mate was walking to the store and Max the half fox like dog was in the shadows. Jessie the Lab was jumping all around my room mate. Max barked from the shadows and told Jessie to attack him. Jessie tried to bite his feet. My room mate talked about it for weeks and laughed. He called Max the general.

Now work life, guess it is like my animals.:38: :38: :38:
SimplyRed,
I find your animal stories very fascinating and funny!!

I have Aqua as my sixth house. and only south node is there.

Interesting thing to note is that all my houses related to career are Air houses, Second house Libra and 10th house Gemini.

and one more interesting thing is that

my Ascendent is Earth Virgo, Sun is Pisces, Moon Aries, and Midheaven is Air.

Of course, a great thread it is.
Especially when it involves yourself. Your own natal chart. And therefore I cheer with you: a very nice thread !

BUT
... haha... a virgo trait ?.......
.... but my Saturn in 6th is not satisfied with 'just a great thread'...

I would loooove when personal stories here are going to be organised and wouldn't it be nice when we have some statistics in the end? I feel only then it would really make sense (again I think that is soooo Virgo). It would be useful. For any astrology-addict to be able to read the main outcomes of all these lovely people that have contributed here.

It looks like we are collecting stories here, but we don't organize them?

By the way, I have Mercury, Saturn, Northnode, Sun in the 6th house.
Venus and Chiron are only 1 degree away (in the 5th).
And its totally Aries there. From 2º Aries - 23º Aries. It's the opposite of an intercepted sign (which might be hard to manifest), it's an imprisoned (free translation from dutch LOL) sign. The cosmic Aries energy MUST be canalised in my case.

Vulcan was thrown out of heaven and created many many things (Vulcan is about expertise and skills, as I see it).
I use Vulcan, a hypothetical planet, using the Vulcan table given in a book about Vulcan and Persephone.
So for me it works like this: Vulcan rules Virgo (as a dayruler and he is nightruler of the other logical sign Gemini, but in the end I just use Mercury and Vulcan together as rulers of Gemini and Virgo both).

Do you mean that this is the only place Mars could be according to my description, or that the other new bodies I mentioned can't be included? Personally, I think these are 'interesting times' regarding what should be viewd as legit and what not. So many new bodies....

My Mars square Chiron is 1 degree off orb, in fact there was already a t-square between Moon/Mars and Uranus before Chiron came along.

And that is another thing: I have had my share of head injuries - concussion and dislocated jaw at 17 after a car accident in France, though nothing seems to have activated the t-square at the time. Rather, Sun and Neptune by transit were squaring natal Neptune (which squares my Mars dispositor).

Moped accidents a couple of times, also an encounter with a suburban train a few years back that got a little closer than was good for me.

Recently, I have read that getting knocked out can do more for weeks or even months afterwards that I bargained for at the time. Pity I didn't know it at the time.

I have Saturn on the 6th cusp, arthritis, government work and often periods of unemployment. I have it conjunct Mercury so learning on the job, more than one at a time, lots of chit chat and gossip in the workplace. Tendency to lung infections. Conjunct Pluto, confidential police work, sexual issues in the workplace, loss of pets very painful, Virgo dog, Scorpio dog. Sun ruling 6th in Leo and posited there. Worked in entertainment industry, connections to casinos. My main focus in life has been my work. Connecting to many Leo men in my everyday situation. SO many scenarios, wont bore you with them.

The 6th is the everyday rituals and services, including diet, clothing and shelter. The 6th house is accommodation rather than your home where you put down roots unless the Moon is there. It is our bread and butter work as opposed to the career or vocation of the 10th house. It is servants and services. Small domestic animals used for meat and milk etc was original meaning. It is rather herbal and alternative remedies. It is Virgo's house and where we can be self sufficient and whole in our selves which is the true meaning of virgin. Not necessarily sexually inexperienced but rather unmarried or independent because we can support ourselves. It is the archetype of the maiden aunt who sits and weaves. The "spinster".It was in the past the older daughter who never married but took care of the family including the weaving and craftswork, cooking etc. Seamstress.:)

You get the picture I am sure.

I think that Vulcan will be recognised as true ruler of Virgo, one day. I am hoping so with a 6th house stellium and Virgo ruling descendant. Needless to say I am unmarried.

I can see it as co ruler of Gemini. Vulcan was the craftsman, smithy, who flew too close to the SUn and now it orbits s very close and being so small is hardly ever seen. It is next to Mercury which fits.

My saturn sits in the 5th but on the 6th cusp and I have had lovers who were younger and also Gemini as it conjuncts Mercury. THey were met in everyday circumstances such as when eating, shopping or working as Mercury sits in the 6th house in Leo. I could go on but wont bore everyone. I also have the Sun in Leo in the 6th and Leo on the cusp. Main focus of my life, needless to say.

I have Mars in Cap and Merc/ Aqua, 6th..but I do have some afflictions. Main issues have been nervousness, minor accidents and infections. I am hard worker but hate being bossed around. Would rather work for myself. I have a lot of energy, people say I make them dizzy because I buzz around like a bee. Saturn is ruler of 6th and in Cancer, so I am really affected by my emotions. I would say 90% of my illnesses are due to my emotions.

Years ago I met a hairdresser, an older (experienced) man. We were waiting for our food-order. He looked at me and said: I can tell by the skin and the hair lots of things about people. It was quite good what he told about me. I remember this part the best, he said: You have a lot of intellectual knowhow, wisdom, stuff ( I don't know in English), but the problem is that you cannot find a practical way with it. You feel alone and useless. Your intellectual talents are unable to find a satisfying outlet, direction. In other words, I am smart but I cant find my way with it.
Back to 6th house issues:
Mercury in 4º Aries (6th house). It is ruler 9th , because cusp 9th is Gemini.
Moon in 3º Virgo (10th almost 11th). It is "ruler 9th", because of the total intercepted Cancer sign there.

So in a way I do have 2 different (!) rulers , ruling my 9th house.
They are INCONJUNCT ! And that could be the difficulty the hairdresser was talking about. At least I do believe it is like that.

Now, I have set a goal. I am working hard on this prediction: Who will win the worldcup-soccer final, 11th July 2010 ? It is a huge world event, one of the biggest.
The thing is: My progressed Moon will be conjunct that natal Mercury in 4º Aries those days !!! So I think , with a bit of luck or whatsoever, that for once (and forever?) the natal inconjunct problem will be solved: my total vision will be clear and recognised (Moon). Amen.

i would agree with starnaud,

can we have editors, who can post the stories, by editing them for substance, and may link in a database so that we dont have to search information by going from link to link.

there's this new concept in web, which says, link data, into database, so that one may not have to go through a lot of information to find data one is looking for.

and we know lot of what is told by us, is stupid information, and the substance of a discussion is lost in the burden and plethora of information.

Story telling as a trait of a civilization is great, but it has to have a place, nor so that it destroys, and Forces it's way on to people who are already bombarded with loads of information.

the cocept of which i am talking about is like

dbpedia.org.

when we search for germany, the related topics in a box spur up in wikipedia, so a guy came up with the idea to put into databases concepts.

scientists know of protiens which help fight certain diseases, and if we google them we wouldn't find that data,

say 30 proteins which help fight cancer....and lots of scientists know this, and they have this data guarded and locked into articles and their own laboratories.

while collaboration demands, that raw data will be available to people who wants to re-search a topic.

building a better world.

what a great thread!

I have Neptune in Sag and Lilith conj SN in Cap, all in 6th house. Ruler Jupiter is in 5th, Scorpio, squared by Moon.

So far this has mostly affected my health, female hormonal issues, just like my mom and granda had(Lilith conj SN) but also teeth, skin and bone problems(conjunction in Capricorn)
Neptune gives me high sensitivity to all drugs, alcohol, even foods, lots of allergies and intolerances. Considering my age group, I've always been sicker than most.
Regular meds don't ever work, I've found much success with homeopathy and acupuncture, I often read it was another sign of Neptune in 6th

I always get ill after love-life crashes(Neptune squares Venus).

And I have big appetite when I'm too emotional(Jup square Moon) which is quite often(Cancer asc) :(

Work-wise and everyday things, Neptune is casting big shadow there too. I haven't worked except giving classes to kids(Jup in 5th) and seems like I wander a lot in life, my everyday is like in a movie Groundhog day.
very unclear what I wish to do and how I wish to be of service to this society. Making myself happy is not an option(SN talking)

Funny, the sixth also rules small pets - I found connection to my only pet so far - Siamese cat(Jupiter ruled) who just dissapeared(Neptune) one day after 6 years. We never found out what happened to her.

The cusp of my 6th is in Gemini, without in planets in the 6th. Though my 6th is duplicated, as my the cusp of my 5th is in Gemini also.

To me this means that I MUST have a job that I actually enjoy doing. I really cannot bear to have a job that I hate, or even worse, one that makes me depressed. Needless to say, I've gone from job to job. Often times suddenly quitting out of the blue.

Uranus in Cancer square Jupiter in Aries.

Have had untold number of "jobs". Never been fired ( Libra Moon). Love to be of service but dislike being employed by another, it feels like being enslaved when I have no control (Scorpio Midheaven ). Have always been lucky to find an equal or better position in the field of cardiac health, Venus in Leo trine that Jupiter in Aries.

Brand new to the forum and hope to share insight with you all. Moon conjunct Neptune in the 8th house.

Hello
I have to pretty much agree the 6th house is about service and the others things that others have said. I also agree it does seem chironic. I think I might have read that another "ruler" (or something with strong affinity with 6th house) of the 6th house is indeed chiron.

I see it as the service house pretty much. Having Sag on it with planets being in Sag and 6th house probably indicates a sag related service, for example, teaching, law, philosophy politics etc. It could even be something as broad as say public health, the philoshophy behind health.

I have pluto in the 6th house. I'm still waiting to bring down and regenerate the service that I intend to be in. I have been told though that I am very fanatical and serious when it comes to work though.

A

Here's a link but most the of the info is mentioned in previous posts:
http://www.skyscript.co.uk/temples/h6.html

Veterinary services with large animals, entrepreneurial work and travel industry with Sagittarius. It can also be involvement with ethnic cuisine for instance. Ethics and hygiene say with restaurants and public eating places.

Depending on what your Pluto is aspecting will tell of your experiences in the 6th house. It is where you experience intensity and crises with major transformations. It can deal with the eliminative and generative organs.
As well as sexual issues and betrayal and backbiting in the workplace and the experience of life and death issues such as insurance, estate matters and criminal work.

I have a 6th house stelllium including Mercury and also have had untold jobs and sometimes fired or made redundant with conjunction to Saturn. I have a Scorpio Midheaven with Pluto in the 6th also. I have certification in alternative healing with flower essences and nutrition. Pluto conjunct.

I think the dislike of being an employee can come from the Scorpio Midheaven and you may have issues in the 10th house of authority figures.
Like to be your own boss and in control and often prefer to work alone but within a team perhaps.

What is your Mercury doing???? I have done what you have done and have Mercury in the 6th. Sometimes having more than one job can relieve the routine and the boredom i.e. two part time jobs.
