I appreciate the wonderful service that you are providing to people in distress. May God bless you always!
I have witnessed obstacles and setbacks of various kinds, specially career-related, since early 2007. From early 2004 to end 2006 was a wonderful three year period when I realized some dream(s), and experienced good times. However, ever since there seems to be stress, specially related to my career/job area. While pursuing my mba (mid 2006 - mid 2008), I didn't find a decent internship in the US (early to mid 2007), so went back to India to pursue the desired job and industry. However, on my return as well, I was unable to get the desired job (I must admit though that I was obstinately hanging on to this one industry-job field, which really caved in since the financial crisis dawned in late 2007) I realized much later what a fool I had been, and started casting my net wide.
It is only in Oct 2008 that I finally got something, but without h1b visa, and paid meagre salary. Finally in July 2009, I got an opportunity with a firm in financial services, which did my h1b visa (almost at the last minute when my f-1 visa, the student visa, was expiring), but again offered meagre salary, and rest by way of commissions. I took the job for h1b purposes, however, didn't enjoy a bit, since the work culture was very unproductive and unmotivating for me. Most of my colleagues did not have any respect for thier customers and didn't work towards their clients' benefit, and only looked after their own self interests. So, I have been wanting to get out for quite some time, but not before I found another decent job. However, on May 17, this year, I was laid off, which was a relief in a way as well, but now I am back to the unemployed scene.
I will be very grateful to you if you could advise when will I get a decent/good job here. Will it be in the US/India/elsewhere?
