It's for sure the areas of the world that missed the Enlightenment have a hard time understanding or appreciating the things that came from it -- democracy, the worth and rights of the individual, individual and civil liberty. These things make no sense to them, seem counter- intuitive.
It's also true that there are higher values than the life of conditioned reaction a great many people live in. Including reactions to celestial stimuli (among other things).

Did it sound like it was meant as a bad thing?

In my head, I hear the late actor Richard Burton’s voice when I say it.

He said it in a humorous way, normally to describe people acting a bit off kilter but interesting.

I’ll see if I can find a clip of him saying it.

Richard Burton uses the phrase, ‘the world’s gone mad,’ at 1:10, in reference to Sammy Davis Jr. saying that, because Elizabeth Taylor is so beautiful, she doesn’t need to say or do anything whilst on the show.

Elizabeth and Richard appeared on the premiere episode of Sammy Davis Junior’s new television show.

If you would like to watch the video, Elizabeth and Richard do a charming rendition of a Welsh folk song.

I googled the word waybread and found this.
When my grandpa worked on the field he just took "easy" food with him to eat like fruits and nuts. But he was not nuts. I loved him.

He loved Walnuts but was not nuts lol.

I think there’s a quote from Alice in Wonderland that goes something like, ‘I’m a bit mad, but I’ve got a secret for you, all the best people are,’ 👻

Fruits and nuts are very healthy food. Your Grandad had it right!

His name was Michael. He came home from the war in 1940, was in France and injured on his head married grandma, who's husband was killed by the nazis. He was the brother of grandmas dead husband. Grandma had two babies when he was killed and a big farm who needed a man.

He took on the responsibility of his two nephew’s and farm etc, and loved a woman who needed loving. What a man. No wonder you love him so much.

‘They don’t make them like that anymore.’ 👌🏻

If the lady in the office deletes a post,
could she tell me which one it was?

We don’t talk about the ‘lady in the office.’ She doesn’t like direct eye contact and sometimes people disappear. Although, legend has it, that you can pose a question in the ‘help with forums and suggestions’ part of the forum, as well as the new and confidential ‘moderators mailbox’ function.

Just to confirm - my description was purely anecdotal and was not a reflection of my views of the moderation team or the lady in the office.

My mother brought this procedure into her marriage with my father. As I got older, I noticed this when I visited them at the weekend. There was the obligatory afternoon nap and afterwards my parents discussed everyday things and agreed how and what to do. When in doubt, my father would say to my mother: “You're the boss of our family and you know what's good for them.”

Routine, familiarity, home comforts and stability. Can’t beat it :)

It reminds me of the 6 of Cups.

What does this mean?

The 6 of Cups is a tarot card which represents nostalgia about the past, childhood, idealism, memories etc.
