I think some of the astro.com forum users coming over here may be shocked by the antics, banter, and fieriness found on this forum. They might think we’re degenerates.

Can you imagine how f*cked the older generations think the younger generations are. 😹 They must think we all need spankings to straighten us out. Millennials and Zoomers!!! 🍑👋🏻😡

I’m going to ask my French tutor to help me correct some of my French here during my next lesson - I know that some of my conjugations could be better! 😹 Usually I show her things I’ve wrote, she’ll correct mistakes, and then she’ll tell me why they had to be corrected. Very helpful!

It is a ‘random’ thread after all! So, don’t put too much pressure on yourself when considering how you’ll contribute. 😅

That's an interesting observation. Traditional astrology is more focused on practices and techniques, while modern focuses more on people's experiences and lives. This is due to a shift, when astrology became more accessible to the general public. And in every community, there will always be a tight-knit group, because they tend to be the most active.

Yes, their perspectives would be interesting to hear, both in modern and in trad astrology.

J'espere que vous ameliorerez votre francais, et que vous me pardonererez pour les absence d'accents dans ce texte. Je n'ai pas le tastature pour la langue francais.

Oui, ca aurait ete une marveilleuse addition dans ce forum, mais je crois qu'il y bien comme il est maintenant. Quoique, j'admet, le multiculturalisme aurait ete beau, et j'avais voulu de partiquer mon francais aussi, malheureusement, je ne connais pas beaucoup de terminologies astrologiques.

That's great! I don't have a tutor anymore, but I was planning to go to some paid courses, then take a French exam.

I will keep that in mind, thank you.

The "mean" is the median location between the erratic, back and forth, "true" (current) locations which vary at most by about 2° orb.

BLM is at one end of the center-line of the Moon's elliptical orbit, where it's at "apogee", furthest from the Earth. The back and forth of the "true" position, relative to the always direct, median "mean" position, is called "nutation", or "oscillation".

Same with the Lunar Nodes, where the Moon's orbital path intersects with the zodiacal Earth/Sun orbital plane. The mean Nodes are always retrograde, but the changing true positions can cause current, periodic, direct movement.
