@yyyyyyyy - 6 is way above the average! Lots of enthusiastic talent and passion for following your dreams and talents I would suggest.

In a scientific study conducted by Nick Kollerstrom (Phd in Science) it was calculated that the average number of quintiles per chart is 2.2

Genius, and the Eureka moment are ascribed in the study to a higher than average combo of quintiles and septiles:

"....constitutes the act of creation proper .....seven also represent the influx of inspiration....five (quintile) may be said to represent the urge to power which is the prelude to creation, the desire to dominate some kind of material."

Do you have septiles also? I only have only quintile related aspect in my chart, but have 7 septiles! (2.4 average there)

The Eureka moment could also be described as the ahah moment - a convergence of 5s and 7s!

My children have way over the quintile average in their charts! My son is a well known musician and writer in his field and my daughter is an arts and events manager :) Both very enthusiastic and focused on their passions.

Ha! I have over 10 septiles

Lots of quintiles in my chart. I don't want to sound like I am bragging but I am a highly creative and artistic person.

Moon quintile Mercury
Moon biquintile Mars
Mercury quintile Mars
Venus biquintile Uranus
Venus biquintile Ascendant
Neptune quintile Midheaven

Some others which may count for less:

Moon biquintile North Node
Mars quintile North Node
Moon quintile BML
Mars biquintile BML

Edit: Noticed there is discussion on septiles/noviles in here, wanted to include them as well in case they are relevant for anyone else or if anyone had any insight since they are hard to find interpretations of.

Moon biseptile Venus
Mercury biseptile Saturn
Mars biseptile Uranus
Mars biseptile Pluto
Uranus septile Pluto

Sun novile Saturn
Venus novile Pluto

The thing is, if you look at bi-septiles and tri-septiles and use the asteroids and the nodes, then anyone and everyone is going to have a lot of these aspects.

I think it has more bearing if you use The planets, maybe add Chiron, and the Asc or MC. that's it. And forget triseptiles/biseptiles...

Should I also consider my semi-quintile (decile/ 36 degrees) or disregard it? I have two of it when I used an astrology software program. Thanks!

I wouldn't use minor aspects for asteroids-- you can end up with a chart that means anything you want. I use only the conjunction for asteroids. But with sun quintile Pluto, you probably are ambitious.

Monk, I sometimes look at harmonic charts, but really, they are a quick and handy way to reveal so-called minor aspects. I also sometimes look at asteroids, but if we're not highly selective about them, you can end up with so much space junk that makes a chart say whatever one wants. Generally we have to look at the "majors" before considering the "minors."

In a 5H harmonic chart, planets in a quintile relationship show up as conjunct. In a 7H harmonic chart, planets in a septile relationship show up as conjunct. And so on.

I think a quintile relationship involving planets and angles can be really significant. It's quintiles involving asteroids that I find too much of a stretch.

What do you think of relation of quintiles like Sun-Venus-Jupiter-Pluto-midheaven, all tied?

This kind of relationship would show that quintiles (the 5th harmonic) are really important motivators in the person's life. I think quintiles symbolize talent + the ambition to manifest the talent in some way. However, "ordinary" people will express their quintiles in ways consistent with their circumstances in life.

The one cautionary note is that a close conjunction in the natal (radix) chart will show up as a conjunction in any harmonic chart. In the case of a 5H chart, you'd want to first determine any radix conjunctions, as the conjunction has a different meaning.

Hi Waybread,

I agree about asteroids, at last count there were over 70,000 of them, dubious even using slightly larger ones like Pallas, Juno and Vesta!

However there are a few dwarf planets past the Kuiper Belt, i don't have any problem using Pluto, indeed i have a Pluto MC so know all about it, but i'm loath to use more so far away like Eris!

Ceres is a dwarf planet that lies between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, so far nearer and isn't termed an asteroid!

A lot of modernists use Chiron, would you?

I do use Chiron in natal chart interpretation....but for me to think a quintile involving Chiron or Ceres had merit, I'd probably have to see a comparable pattern elsewhere in the chart.

Hi Waybread,

Please disregard quintiles to asteroids Pallas, Vesta, Juno and South Mean Node regarding chart on private members download, please view grand quintile involving Moon, Saturn, Chiron, Ceres and Venus, all orbs under one degree!

No interpretation please, i find it embarrassing, my interpretation is from a small boy i have always studied the Golden Ratio and Phi, which is all about the number 5!

You can interpret another,on same date, although sadly i don't have a birth time but suspect he might have a grand quintile, his name is Larry D. James, who early in his career worked in the Pentagon, like attracts like!

http://www.spacefacts.de/bios/astronauts/english/james_larry.htm

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_D._James

The Pentagram is believed to be about protection and his career was about protection, however i couldn't work with Nuclear Weapons!

Hi, Monk. Well, a grand quintile seems way cool-- but a lot depends on whether you find Chiron and Ceres meaningful in your chart and life. How do you experience all of this?

Hi Waybread,

I'm not willing to discuss the meaning of a grand quintile, because i don't think anyone knows and would be highly contoversial, however i have always been interested in math, Plato, Pythagoras, the divine proportion, golden ratio, and Phi, it must be remembered that the symbol of Pythagoras was a pentagram. I have studied all this as my first love since childhood, however i only found the grand quintile approx. 15 years ago.

http://jwilson.coe.uga.edu/EMAT6680Fa06/Hobgood/Pythagoras

The grand quintile in my interpretation was that i was studying the subject that i should in this life!

Saturn in the first house can mean restriction in some way possibly bones, Chiron in third house of mobility could give a clue, i have great difficulty in walking more than a few steps as shown on private members download:-

No need for moderators to get their knickers in a twist, i'm very open about my personal details, and is my risk:-

Ceres in 5th house...i'm very nurturing to children, although i have experienced some sadness there, but have interest in the arts, obviously before i was disabled my career was in music, Ceres in 5th house and quintiles can mean this!

I feel very nurturing to the world in general and investigate threats to peace, thats more than an astronomer has said for a long time about astrology, although i did go to top astrology schools, i'm a fixed star specialist ha ha!

As a humerous note the golden ratio is about beauty, but i'm afraid i look like quasimodo, but i'm a happy soul and disablement leaves me plenty of time to study what i want to, my head is full of new ideas, so can be a bit of a gossip and go off topic, so better stop now or i might get a smack on the wrist lol!
