Well, David, Putin can't negotiate if NATO refuses to honour the Minsk Agreement & to break every agreement they
made with Russia.
NATO were not allowed to expand further east but they did anyways.
They were not allowed to offer NATO membership to nations which are on Russia's borders.
This was all laid out in LAW.
But NATO broke the law over & over again.
The corrupt,
swamp want to keep total control of europe, both east & west.
I actually think Putin should have acted earlier....as soon as the Azov nazis started killing & bombing eastern Ukraine.
Sometimes,
can be too accomodating; too polite.
But then again, Putin is a Master Strategist with those lovely
placements so he timed it when he thought best.
Minsk I
Ukraine and the Russia-backed
separatists agreed on a 12-point ceasefire deal in September 2014.
Its provisions included prisoner exchanges, deliveries of humanitarian aid and the withdrawal of heavy weapons.
However, the agreement quickly broke down.
Minsk II
Minsk II as a way to guarantee Russian central
security demand – that Ukraine is never allowed to join NATO.
Did NATO ‘betray’ Russia by expanding to the East?
In a speech at the Munich Security Conference in 2007,
Putin accused Western powers of violating a solemn pledge by considerably enlarging NATO – asking,
"What happened to the assurances our Western partners made after the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact?" 😌
NATO has not stopped expanding since the fall of the Soviet Union,
growing from 17 countries in 1990 to 30 today, several of which were once part of the
Soviet-led Warsaw pact. 🙄🙄🙄
