Progressed ascendant.

My natal ascendant is Leo and my progressed Ascendant is Virgo, I have become more sensible, but that could well be due to becoming older and wiser, it had to happen sooner or later.

I have noticed that I am very much influenced by Mercury transits these days and I would love to know if other folk have become more sensitive to the ruler of their progressed charts.

This Progressed Asc influence explains so much about me.. I heard that the 29th degree is like the "last call" of the sign & I tell you I AM SO HAPPY it's going into Aries at the end of the year.. there's so much I want to do with my life & up until now I've been doing everything & nothing, if you know what I mean.. & I'm ready to start doing MY thing..

Sorry to hear about your Neptune experience. My Ascendant is only at 4 degrees in Virgo so I am still getting my bearings. Yes, and in checking the progressions of those close to me, some of their behaviour and changes in personality and habits make so much more sense to me!!

When my prog ASC moved into Pisces, tr Neptune was in my 12th house, and soon after the prog Pisces ASC began, tr Nep began crossing my Cap ASC...
SUCH a wipeout!!! I'd always been so capable, and suddenly I became a basket case, and eventually had to leave my work. No regrets now, but at the time it was like a major slap in the face with a very large fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the progressed ascendant can be influential in the way we present ourselves, our persona, our image. However we need to look at what aspects it is making elsewhere and with Libra as you mentioned, then Venus ruling, what is happening with that planet. Unless the progressions make aspects that are echoed in the natal chart, there wont be much change. When my progressed Sun went into Libra I also became more social, more attractive and desirable and had several marriage proposals and I was in my early thirties by then. I do have planets in Libra natally though including Venus, to back that up.

There must have been other aspects in operation including influences on the 6th house, ruler and any planets there. Employment and also diet and health are domains of the 6th. Everyday rituals including needs such as food, clothing, housing etc. Your 10th house may have been affected as well if it was your career.

The reason my interest in astrology rekindled after a rather long hiatus is because I realized that my progressed ascendant is changing signs next year.

My natal ascendant in Cancer is progressed to 29 degrees this year, and I cannot wait for it to move into Leo. Someone here said that this is the "last call" year and in a sense it is (e.g., I just finished school and got myself my first "real" job).

I have been gaining weight for the past 6 years, any time I attempt to lose it and succeed, it somehow finds its way back to me.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what to expect in terms of life events/appearance when the ascendant finally progresses into Leo.

I want the appearance benefits, but not the popularity.

Wow this is interesting! Me too.
I am at a 29.17 degree Cancer ASC with my Sun progressed to Aries 29.5 degrees. My Mars just progressed to Taurus last year, and my Moon will also progress to Taurus next summer....so I am looking forward to a Leo/Taurus energy to be pouring into my life.
My Mother is a native Leo ASC, Taurus Moon so I've had many years to observe the dynamics of the energies.

As I look ahead into this Leo ASC/Taurus Sun/Mars/Moon progression, I anticipate more comfort with self; with my creativity and creation of beauty. I can already feel a certain comfort with my creative self, where I used to be more timid or unsure. Now I am drawn to create and feel good about what comes forth. I anticipate a positive turn coming. I feel it and hope to make the most of it.

Maybe becoming selfish is a danger, but I haven't been selfish enough in my life. It's always been me taking care of others. I have always put me second place, and I'm still doing it, playing mommy to all. I think I need a me-focus... after all at 26 (how old I'll be when it does progress to Leo) life does become more about me because it is during the Leo ascendant progression that I will get married, have children, focus on building my career... finally I can focus on MY life! I hope so anyway...

As for becoming arrogant, I hope to never become that, it's not my style... but good to know that if it does creep up I can cut it out.

mine changed to scorpio when i was 6. All that i can remember is i became real quiet with ppl and had few close friends. All i can remember is that i was much much more reserved and was easily angered, alotta ppl didnt wanna deal wit me lol

I also remember that I started feeling more feminine and I was scared of it...
I have had some weight flucuations too, noticing when it comes to seasons in the year...
Like weight gain in the summer and loss in the winter...
not sure if that is a part of taurus rising..

Taurus rising (like my cancer rising) has a tendency to put on weight, however, due to its fixed nature once the native sets their mind to losing weight, nothing can keep them away from achieving that goal.

i am experiencing progessed ascendent conjoining natal saturn, well actually right now it is conjunct progressed saturn ( approaching my natal saturn in 2 years-2 degrees due to it being retro at birth). I all ready feeling the effects of it , of course one has to consider the chart before being able to give any feedback but lets just saturn is rather significant planet for me ( opposing my sun and rules the 10th and natally in gemini in the third)
i am feeling the career pressure ... i have recently put myself in a situation now in my life where i sort of am trying something new in terms of career and/or what it is that i do, i have been given a great opportunity and now is my time to prove it but typical of saturnine energy i am scared shitless and riddled with doubts!!
so i am just wondering if anyone else has had the experience of prog. asc to a significant natal planet?

I have not had that happen, due to my most significant natal planets being in the Western hemisphere. However, when natal Lilith was conjunct my progr Asc in Pisces, my mother died. This was when I was 49.

I'm interested in what happens when progr Moon and Asc form a conjunction, given that the progr Moon is the one which moves the fastest.

For me, first conj on progr Moon and Asc was when I was 15..... the progr Conjunction was in Aquarius, and I went away to school to further my education. This meant that I gained my freedom (Aquarius) at 15 by essentially leaving home, because I never again lived home full time.

The second time this occurred, both pr Moon and Asc were in Pisces, I was 44, and I began to see the writing on the wall where my job was concerned, and I began to panic about the detalis, like paying bills, etc.

In terms of prog. moon conjoining natal ascendant , my friend just had that a couple of years ago and it occured within months of her giving birth to her first child ( her natal moon rules the 5th).
I had prog. moon also go over my natal aries ascendent in 2002 and I moved to go live and work in Argentina ... moon rules my fourth and mars rules 1st and 8th, this was an experience that transformed me significantly in terms of where I chose to live thereafter how I perceive the world around me. when im 30 (23 now), it will change to virgo from leo. I can already feel it, I've fallen in love with binders and the good page protectors that seal at the top.. Orginization, Orginizing things by height.. subject... compulsive cleaning, not thinking things are clean enough, getting aggitated by things appearing to be dirty..

I even leave the vaccum hooked up by the door to vaccum up the salt from outside..

Now, When i started studying astrology, my sun had just progressed onto my natal 9th house cusp, ruled by picese, As well, i was having a jupiter return, Natal jupiter conjunct sun 1 degree orb in the 8th house.

also, I feel more scorpio as of late, jupiter conjuncting natal sun in the 8th also activating a pluto trine from the 4th *rx pluto to the 8th, and natal neptune sextile, pluto transiting natal neptune in the 6th cappy...

After the eclipse, I got firrreeeed, felt like i was dying, still kinda emo, and a whole buncha minor stuff going wrong, like vehical almost getting repoed etc.

niplan, I'm pretty sure that this fetish for cleanliness and organisation wwould not be down to your approaching progr Virgo Asc - 7 years away is a bit too far.

THere is possibly something else going on. You may even be experiencing a numerological 4 year, and this can have you cleaning and sorting things out.

Hi guys! I was born with a virgo rising at 29 degrees, so within the first year of my life this changed to libra, and tbh I've always seemed like a libra rising to me! I also have my moon in libra so that probably has an effect
What effect would my natal virgo rising have on me? Because tbh I don't understand the virgo rising traits :L
