My last friend that had served, and fought, in Nam that was still alive died last month.
Twenty two years ago I still had a core group of six friends that had fought in that "war" that I was real tight with.
The first of those died from liver failure and as He was warned that one more drink would kill him, I guess one might say that He died by suicide as well?

I was watching a bio on Otis Redding. He recorded this against his manager's desire, because he felt he needed a "newer different sound"..considering the hits that year.


It became a hit of course, and the mgr-friend of his another musician was suppose to come in and work the ending as he usually did. It wasn't supposed to end with Otis whistling....:whistling::whistling:


But it wasn't done, because Otis Redding died a week later in a plane accident. So they released it as it was.
