A musical genius passed to the next world a few days ago....

Try this lesser-known song of Gordon Lightfoot and see if you get the all-over tingles as I do....."Affair on 8th Street"

Here is his chart, lots of Scorpio beckoning to those of us with similar in our charts -

This one is hypnotic... "She's not the same"

Does anyone else have a favourite Gordo song?

Hi Sweet Pea, nice avatar!

A Canadian legend. His songs, so many of them, while not my usual listening pleasure, I can sing word for word. Without seeing the lyrics.

We’ll hear you on the flip side Glen, tripping that Carefree Highway.

RIP, Sundown.

I can't see that 2nd video you posted Opal, it's blocked in my country (UK). I only found Gordo's music at the end of last year so my memory of the lyrics isn't very good yet. Today I'm listening to this one which is very apt for the so-called Spring we are having in the UK, very grey and wet. A most beautiful and gentle love song.

I posted Sundown.

One of his biggest hits. If you don’t know it, enjoy.

He was on tv and the radio when I was a child regularly. He was a fabulous writer.

Thank you Opal. :) I've got Gordon's Greatest Hits CD so I have that Sundown song. Perhaps his inventiveness came from his Mercury-Uranus inconjunct aspect. He also had asteroid Orpheus (number 3361) in his 3rd House at 1 Aqua, right opposite Pluto in the creative sign of Leo.
