Elliott Smith - Angel in the Snow
'I'd say you make a perfect angel in the snow, all crushed out the way you are. Better stop before this goes too far. Don't you know that I love you? Sometimes I feel like only a cold still life that fell down here to lay beside you'
Rest in Peace Elliott Smith

This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. He was a poet

Animal Collective - Bluish

Animal Collective w Vashti Bunyan - Prospect Hummer

I love this song... It sounds like it makes zero sense, but I feel this song is actually very spiritual. The part about the cat sounds absurd, but I think it relates to the mention of Zulu

It also mentions 'very good dates' which, I haven't seen the movie, but I know the reference
'But my heaven is all around me, and there's Zulu in my body
Have I eaten all the very good dates now? Is our night worth contemplating?'

It took me a long time to track this song down.
I heard it regularly on KFOG F.M. [San Francisco] back in '85 when I was living in the Bay Area with my fiancee ... never did get married, the living together lasted about six months, but I have some great memories and a sound track to go with it.
Kind of a modern Rock & Roll gospel tune... kinda....

The Hooters ~ "All You Zombies"

The Lyrics:

"Holy Moses met the Pharaoh
Yeah, he tried to set him straight
Looked him in the eye
'Let my people go'

Holy Moses on the mountain
High above the golden calf
Went to get the Ten Commandments
Yeah, he's just gonna break 'em in half

All you zombies hide your faces
All you people in the street
All you sittin' in high places
The pieces gonna fall on you

No one ever spoke to Noah
They all laughed at him instead
Working on his ark
Working all by himself

Only Noah saw it coming
Forty days and forty nights
Took his sons and daughters with him
Yeah, they were the Israelites

The rain's gonna fall on you

Holy Father, what's the matter
Where have all your children gone
Sitting in the dark
Living all by themselves
You don't have to hide any more

{Refrain, except:}
All you zombies show your faces...
The pieces gonna fall on you

All you zombies show your faces, I know you're out there
All you people in the street, let's see you
All you sittin' in high places
It's all gonna fall on you

...sooner or later, it'll be a hard rain that's gonna fall...

Infected Mushroom - Send Me An Angel Hebrew song that a bud introduced to me awhile back. Dig it.

Interesting. While I find the music itself a bit irritating for the reason there is far too much reliance on electronics, the melody is rather nice. Too bad they couldn't have done this acoustically and it is rather special that it is sung in Hebrew. Maybe a remix or a cover can be done with it?
