Physician Assistant?

Hi everyone. I am interested in possibly going to grad school to become a PA (Physician Assistant). I was just wondering if anyone could take a look at my chart and tell me if a career in medicine would be a good idea for me?

Well what a wonderful job that would be!!!
I am in the medical field myself and I love it!!!

Well your 10th house (career and ambition) is in Libra, so equality and ethics are a big concern. Also it is associated with partners, so being an assistant could be indicated. Even anything legal would be indicated as well. Venus rules Libra...
Venus is in the 4th house, so maybe family medicine?
I have seen that surgeons are of an aries nature. Venus in aries makes for one who may like to initiate change, change for the better.

6th house is in gemini...which indicates a great deal of communication within your field of work. Mercury rules gemini, and Gemini here can lend itself to scientific work. A boring job would just not suit you and something intellectual and challenging mentally is what you would need to have fufillment; which as a PA one would never be lacking any of these qualities!

Mercury is in the 3rd house...a very fortunate placement for a smart mind! Speaking, writing and communicating are favored here. Mercury in Pisces can lend itself to a kind, empathetic, spirtual person. A healing aspect between words can be seen here.
Jupiter is in the 3rd house in the sign of Pisces. Which means that you are naturally compassionate, and desire for expansion and growth.

The third house represents neighborhoods, communications, education, teachers.
I would think that you would like to communicate, speak, write (mercury) with compassion, empathy, expansion and growth (jupiter) so you can shine (sun) within your neighborhood (3rd house)

I think that teaching is also seen here! I can see where you would want to help those less fortunate in your own backyard. Being a Pisces sun, mercury and jupiter all there shows your desire to change the consciousness of others and help them to heal.

Now here is the biggie, Saturn in the 12th shows that your responsibility, career, is in the area of working for the care of others, or for the education of others, within a hospital, religious, edcuational, or prision type setting.

Have you thought about being a teacher?
Now dont get me wrong, because us that are in the medical profession are teachers! We educate people all day!
That is why I like the medical profession. I get to teach, educate and empower patients to make the best choices they can when it comes to their healthcare.

Uranus in the 12th can show that you might like to do research as well.

I can see you in the medical field in some capacity. Now whether or not you will be a PA is determined upon your choices.
I do think that you have what it takes!!!

Good luck!

Thanks a million! Every time I look at my chart it screams "do something creative!!" to me, but I want to be practical, and the medical field does appeal to me. I have looked into teaching in the past, and I think it definitely IS something I would enjoy. I just want to be able to make enough money to support myself and possibly a family, which is one of the reasons I am looking into PA. But who knows, maybe down the road, I will change my mind. :)

If I might ask,
Why a PA?
There is a NP...there is a Nurse...there are many jobs out there in the medical field.
Why did you choose PA?

Not at all, I chose PA because I am already finishing up my BA in Communication, along with science pre-reqs for a PA program. NP programs require a BSN. It would be taking a step back for me to go and try to pursue a BS in Nursing. So, that's what drew me to PA.

I wanted to be a PA or a RN something in the medical field, but a mistake in my early 20's brought that to a halt, even tried writing the medical licensing board but it was no go, your choice of careers is admirable,(service to others, healing) ....I have made so many mistakes in my life all It can do is tell people to think about things before they do them, a single mistake can erase something good for a lifetime. But then again in my 30's (like my father who comitted suicide) my depression became very hard to control/crippling to the point I was put on ssdi, so maybe it was for the best, good luck with you career!

We could first look at the 10th house ruler and its aspects and location. This is the good place to start. . The sixth house ruler rules service and may not be as satisfying as focus on the 10th...just a thought. 10th house ruler is in 4th in Aries. The 4th rules home, family, real estate, houses, old age, elders. Venus in Aries is in detriment at that degree. It trines saturn in the 12th house of hospitals and those confined or rehabilitation. It also trines uranus of sudden violent unexpected happenings so there is this correlation to work in a rehabilitation facility or work with people recovering from events or a therapist such as a physical therapist who can travel to homes to work with people. Now Venus squares the moon meaning emotionally there is some difficulty to ruler of 10th. So lets look at the 6th house ruler to see if we can find more satisfaction in daily work. Mercury rules your sixth and is in detriment and fall in the house of communication but it trines the moon which is strong in the 7th and in its own sign. 7th is also the house of doctors. It is also conjunct the sun indicating some affiliation with your ego or outward expression. The sun is considered a beneficial. I would steer clear of surgical settings as mercury squares ruler of surgeons. Mercury rules the sixth of health care and illness as well as 7th for partnerships so yes...good sign. Of most important income from work is ruled by the 11th or 2nd from the 10th and it is ruled by Pluto which is in the same house and it trines the moon indicating what you love to do, what your emotionally comfortable with will earn you money and as Pluto is the planet of transformation this validates this idea of transforming others lives. I say yeah...Physicians assistant good choice

I can see that you wouldnt want to step back and go through to get your bachelors degree, in Nursing.
By the way Nurse Practitioners have a lot of auntonomy. They are able to diagnose and treat and perform medical assessments.
There is a clinic right down the street that is ran only by Nurse Practitioners.
PA's, fill me in, dont they have more autonomy though?

Nurse Practitioners also make more money :)
Sorry I am biased....wink wink
Not sure though what type of education you need for a PA? Do you need your Bachelors only?

I ask because a fellow Nurse I work with is going for PA....I was curious as to how he would transition over and he also said PA's make less money. So I am assuming he probably has his 2 year degree...

Either way it is a wonderful field to be in. I love it, and I am sure you will too!!!
