With the midterm election drawing to a conclusion eyes will turn to the 435 new representatives due to take up their seats in the Capitol in 2023.
It is certainly a well-paid job. Most congressmen and women earn the exact same salary, which is currently $174,000 per year. This is the same for representatives as well as senators, despite representatives in the House only guaranteed to serve a two-year term when they win election instead of senators’ six years.

I just read that the blue and red refer to how States voted in the last Presidential election. So, blue is for Biden and red is for Trump's tie.

My young neighbor (all Republican family and extended family) (in her 40s) invited me for her family get together with her mother & stepfather, her father & his wife, her aunt/uncle, and her own children. She's done this countless times, but we always beg off for 3 years during Covid. Her mother actually told me she finally came down with Covid in June of 2022 after staying in for years herself, but I know I saw her car over there often.

Well, at least all I contributed for was a car bumper- banner for Ross Perot in 1992 - (or was in 96? can't recall now)
before he decided to drop out. My eldest daughter gave me the Obama T Shirts. She volunteered in PA and rec'd T Shirts from the organization. It was tough, because her neighborhood was all Republican too.
