Neptune-Node combinations

I have read one book which speaks very negatively about Neptune-Node combinations, saying ( inter alia ) the following about them:

"A lack of community sense or team spirit"

"Antisocial behaviour"

Why do you think an astrologer might say those things about this particular combination? Do you think Neptune/Node is any more difficult than any other combination? What is your experience of this particular combination?

N Node is all about Life Lessons and directions. Now conj Neptune which continually blurs boundaries, has rose tinted glasses can make 'finding' these Lessons rather difficult. It may includes lots of sacrifices, but if any psychic ability is present, could suggest a life *working for spirit* and giving evidence of life after death...

You should remember planets are modified by sign, where they express are houses and how they express are *aspects*

Hi

I have the Nep/North Node conjunction. Its on the ascendant/12th house side. Its in square and mutual reception to my Jupiter, and Jupiter rules my ascendant. I do alot of yoga and meditation, and I teach it every now and then. I tend to be very drawn to everything spiritual. Not so anti-social, I do like chit chat sometimes, but I also value my own space and peace. I know someone with Nep/South Node conjunction, they are also drawn to spiritual things but the interest only grew when they reached their 40s which may have been around their Neptune square Neptune or Chiron square Neptune.

Does the book specify if these are for squares, or conjunctions?

To me the Neptune South Node conjunction (or Parallel) is the difficult one; I follow the concept of the North Node representing constructive, co-operative influences (a benefic influence, according to Gerard of Cremona, Paracelsus and Agrippa; much like a combined Venus/Jupiter influence) Vedic astrology tends to give a darker picture of the North Node (they call it Rahu) as a "natural malefic", and they lean toward this consideration for both of the Nodes, but I do not agree; certainly the Dragon's Tail represent all negativity, because it is the symbol of Chaos in the Universe; but the Dragon's Head represents the opposite (therefore to balance out the influences of its Tail) and I've gone so far as regarding the NN as the "lucky strike" point in any chart.

If I remember correctly I think it said A LACK OF COMMUNITY SENSE OR TEAM SPIRIT about the combination overall, and ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR specifically about the conjunction.

It sounds like you have experienced this combination positively. Perhaps the author of that book did not properly understand spiritual things, and hence found people with this combination difficult, thus giving those negative interpretations of it.

I guess positive interpretations would be idealistic associations, compassionate associations and associations which try to make the world a better place.

Do you think those negative statements have any particular validity?

Neptune conjunct North Node in natal is the aspect of the morons
they blindly(without rationalizing or having a thought) follow the society. To illustrate, if society drinks, they drink too.

Note: Don't take it personally.
