Neptune in the First House or Pisces Rising?

What are you thoughts on this placement? I have this placement in my own chart and I have a rather chameleon personality wherever I go. I definitely give off a pisces vibe from afar. It's also interesting too because I've seen a lot of people with this placement to be lost or confused. They're almost like victims; you kind of want to feel bad for them, but at the same time it's super easy to take advantage of them. I guess you could say I'm delusional when it comes to identity and setting boundaries with this placement in my own chart, but that could also be my Sun in the 7th House haha. But this is a really cool placement and it would be really interesting to see what other people have to say about it on this forum.

Neptune in the first is not the same as Pisces rising. If you have Pisces rising, its modern ruler is Neptune and its traditional ruler is Jupiter. You would want to see how Neptune and/or Jupiter are situated in the chart.

I have Neptune in the first house in Libra. This placement can make it hard to get a clear sense of self or of how you come across to others, because Neptune tends to muddy or dissolve the clarity or what it touches. It can also lead to people-pleasers who try to present themselves as what they think the other person wishes to see. Having a poor sense of their embodiment and outward personality, Neptune in the first people may look to other people to provide them with a self-image.

I totally agree! Pisces rising and neptune in the first are similar though. I met someone who I thought had Neptune in the first becuase they were like me--being all delusional and all, but it turned out they were Pisces rising!

I have been reading a lot about Neptune in the 1st because my little granddaughter has Neptune in the 1st, in Pisces.

Just went to her 1st Birthday Party last weekend. She is so adorable. She absolutely LOVES animals. Her family dog and 2 cats are her greatest obsession. lol

She is very aware of her environment and also recognizes very subtle emotional clues from others. She stares deeply at people faces and responds in kind. Her emotions are very changeable. She will burst into tears at anything that surprises or upsets her---but she will laugh and giggle one minute later.

I have Neptune in 1st, I enjoy painting my face (a.k.a. makeup) a lot. :sideways:

Asc: late Sag
Neptune in Cap

I also have Uranus in my 1st conj my Asc.
I believed I have Saturn in my 1st conj my Asc, too; however it seems my Saturn is in 12th conj my Asc. (Trying to get my correct birth-time.)

MC: Libra

All I can say with Neptune in the first house which I also have :

- People will tend to see you as a reflection of themselves. For instance, when you speak to the crown, everyone will have their own idea of you and people can have a contradictory perception of you (someone thinks you're this, and the other one will think the contrary). In fact, it can apply with anybody but I find it reinforces with this position.

- Neptune in the first house adds hypersensitivity where it's not people or words that will affect the person but more the atmosphere and it can make the person quite uncomfortable for "no reason."

- I have observed that some people can see a form of mental illness, a disorder, an addiction to something in the perception they have of you which can be funny and annoying when you have to explain what you really are.

- It accentuates the idealism/romanticism (maybe it's my strong Jupiter that feels it) and therefore the escape from reality where imagination is more relevant than the real, where you imagine a self and a life you don't really "live". It joins this hypersensitivity I have mentioned since the contact of the imaginary with the reality is violent, you need a a "less abrupt transition."

- Naivety can be really high with this position but there is a real capacity to hide and to act, to be able to transform "yourself" which can make really good actors or liars. It gives a great capacity to adapt like a chameleon, like you said and the person can fit almost everywhere if he/she's aware of it. :)

I have a Pisces ascendant, and I find one of the good things about this is that people usually view me as good-natured and easy to get along with (whether or not I feel peaceful internally). And many times, people open up to me and like to sort through their issues in my presence (with or without significant input from me). As far as challenges are concerned, there’s certainly energy sensitivity to contend with. Also, I am still learning how to balance my tendency to go with the flow with the practical necessity of tending to my own desires and requirements. These are some of my observations.

I am a maladaptive daydreamer and i have a pisces stellium (including my ascendant) with a 12H Neptune conjunct my ascendant. It is extremely difficult to stay in the present and not just go off into another world. Yes people see me as a kind and beautiful person, but I have a hard time with boundaries and being aware of my surroundings, being aware of my entire existence! We tend to feel like we don’t belong here and we’re always looking for a way to escape the matrix and ascend to something not even we know of. We are very spiritual people at heart and have this belief that there is magic (fairies, angels, mermaids) as a way to cope with the way of the world. Our dreams are usually very important to us and usually come true as if they are visions from the future. We love all forms of art and need alone time to check in with ourselves and see how we are feeling. But we have a tendency to isolate ourselves because we are sensitive to our environment and the people around us. We lack boundaries so we feel for everyone even when we are in the worst possible scenarios we are thinking of what the other person is feeling and have the ability to read the room and notice when another is upset. Which can lead us to staying in relationships with people who are not good for us because just like virgo we want to help them, believing there is always something else going on and reading in between the lines. With this though people will project who they believe we are since we are so mutable and kind of float through life and our personalities and how people perceive us are extremely fluid. With us being deeply emotional, we notice the small things that others would miss because we lack very heavy egos and we are observing when we are not talking with our friends and family. We also do not carry a lot of hatred inside of us but one thing that makes us flare is when we see judgement, mistreatment of other people and lack of empathy for other people because everyone is deserving of love and we understand how that would feel. Still, we are seen as weak and vulnerable which leads to us either being taken advantage of for our hypersensitivity and gullibility,(bullying, stalking, rape, assault) or being idolized and becoming the fantasy for some people. (actors, sex symbols, cartoon characters). However, through our tough experiences we become very wise and understanding to everyone from all walks of life. We’re extremely romantic and we love the feeling of love and helping others, we’re dreamers and have the ability to teach others the importance of compassion. :)

waternymph7, thanks for your insider's report.

In Liz Greene's book Neptune, she talks about Neptune as a longing to merge with the Divine. When this longing is thwarted in some way, Neptunians may turn to drugs, alcohol, or other forms of escapism. Any thoughts about this?

I have just Mars in Pisces, but re: your post, I note that Mars rules athletics. I don't like competitive sports with winners and losers. I think everyone should win, or that it's not about competition. Hiking up a mountain with friends, for example, where you want everyone to make it to the top.

My husband and I play simple word games, like Wordle, but we do them collaboratively rather than competitively.

For those of you with pisces ascendent, is it true that physically you tend to have a facial expression related to a fish, for example eyes that are "fish eyes", slightly popping out?
No criticism intended here, I don't know a better way to express this. Hopefully your pisces traits will have pity on me!!

I have Pisces Ascendant with Scorpio Sun, and Scorpio decan (20-30 degrees) like Demi Moore! :geek:
Also green-brown eyes, like Demi Moore

I was a space cadet :ROFLMAO: until I studied astrology and discovered my strong Scorpio side, at about 8-12 years old

My eyes seem tired/lazy/expressionless, like a fish, also paranoid like a Scorpio

What do you think?
