Also can someone confirm the retrograde status of his Mercury. please and thank you
That's a misleading statementwent direct on April 2nd 1999
therefore it was stationary on April 1st 1999.
Your opinion is disproved by THE AMERICAN EPHEMERIS FOR THE 20TH CENTURYLooking at the skies of that day, we can say thatwas stationary.
Or at least that's my opinion. I consider the stationary effect to last -+1 days. 13 hours is less than a day (whengoes retrograde).
I checked the ephemeris on Solar Fire Gold and myIS stationary. I don't know why, but a certain person on this forum always bursts my bubble. That person always behaves like
with me.
That's a misleading statement
because
one day = 24 hours
and
during the 24 hours comprising 1 April 1999 Mercury continued retrograding for ten hours after the birth of the native
Your opinion is disproved by THE AMERICAN EPHEMERIS FOR THE 20TH CENTURY
According to my copy of THE AMERICAN EPHEMERIS FOR THE 20TH CENTURY http://www.amazon.com/American-Ephemeris-20th-Century-1900/dp/0935127208
after the birth of the native
Mercury continued travelling
ALMOST AN ENTIRE DEGREE retrograde
from the location of Mercury as shown on the natal chart
i.e. according to my own personal copy of THE AMERICAN EPHEMERIS FOR THE 2OTH CENTURY
on 1 April 1999 Mercury continuing retrograding for another ten hours
'travelling backwards' to 21 degrees Pisces 52
and then stationing at precisely
21 degrees Pisces 52
at literally a couple of MINUTES before midnight
i.e. Mercury did not station until reaching that precise degree 21 degrees Pisces 52
at a few minutes before midnight
Mercury then remained stationary at 21 degrees Pisces 52
for some time before then turning direct
and beginning to travel direct
and so
the following day 2 April 1999
it was only at approximately 17:15PM
that Mercury then returned to the precise degree shown on the natal chart currently under discussion
therefore Mercury is most definitely retrograde in the natal chart
and 'travelling backwards' extremely slowly
and not stationary direct
because Mercury stationed at 21 degrees Pisces 52
and not at the degree shown on the natal chart of 20 Pisces 53
Use your software to view a chart for the time of 10:21PM i.e. 22:21PM 1 April 1999 at birthplaceI'm trying to follow what you said by calculating the position ofon Solar Fire Gold.
is marked with an S on my natal chart. Okay. I changed the time to 5:19 pm on April 1st. It moved backwards one minute. Then changed it to 12 am on April 2nd. It's still moved for a minute. Now I changed it to 5:19 pm on April 2nd. The S has changed to black, instead of red.
Check a chart using your software timed for 10:21PM i.e. 22:21PM 1 April 1999 at birthplaceWait I might be confused.
You said thatwent backwards to 21º52'
. Then, it stationed there. And finally it went direct (that's how stations work, right?) by going backwards (what?) again to 20º53'
. Please could you explain it a little further? I didn't get it. Thanks for the feedback by the way. I mean maybe my ephemeris is wrong, or yours is. Who knows?
GreatNow I think I got what a stationary direct planet means.
Easiest way to illustrate is to view a chart using your softwareMine is!
It's because it had to be less than a day for myto turn direct?
Got your question mingled with another two similar questions on retrogradesAccording to the ephemeris I'm going to present (which by the way belongs to astro.com drive safe)went direct on 20º53'
(just after going stationary). My
is located in the twentieth degree of
with fifty-third minutes added.
Got your question mingled with another two similar questions on retrogrades
and
the degrees are all over the place
plus
the details got mingled between Leo and Pisces
and so
CORRECTION
your natal Mercury IS RETROGRADE
because
on checking the revised data
the reason astro.com shows your natal Mercury as retrograde
is because their software is accurate to one arc second
i.e.
Mercury continued to retrograde
by specifically one arc minute
from 20 degrees 53 Pisces
back to 20 degrees 52 Pisces
and then stationed
by the way
this could be 'the retrograde effect of discussing retrogrades!
before going direct
Here.
![]()
It's at 20º52'.
If it's going backwards at allAre you sure it's retrograde?
I wouldn't, personally, consider it retrograde, since it's just going backwards for a minute.
You already stated that Mercury 'had to go backwards in order to be stationary'It had to go backwards one minute in order to be stationary.. but wait!goes stationary on 20º53'...
So it goes backwards one minute but then goes forward?
I'd say it's stationary IMO.Mercury continues to retrograde for one arc minute
before stationing for some time
AND THEN
going direct = 'travelling forwards'
It's 13 hours before it goes direct.
That clearly shows Mercury stationary at 20 Pisces 52I like this chart more.
I'll use this one for readings from now on![]()
That clearly shows Mercury stationary at 20 Pisces 52
at 10:21PM the day of your birth
having travelled one arc minute backwards during the nine hours after your official time of birth![]()
