They lie a lot when they want to, don't show emotions, power issues blablabla...And they hide in plain sight too. But ppl are entitled to their secrets. However, when they are telling their stories of how they felt yeah they are as nexus put it, showing a part of their soul. By the way, you might not believe but out there in the world there really are parents who abuse their children and as astounding as it is ppl in forums feel more comfortable to reveal those things. But not these ones though, they just made a community for 100 ppl to take a **** at problems like these.
