Oh interesting point ! honestly i neither dont know this nor i have seen piratically in real life so i cant accept it . i accept only if i seen or proven . but thanks for sharing good point . my intuition says soon you become expert in astrology . keep going good luck !
well astrology is an ocean more you dig in deep more you can find interesting rare things like this . these things doesn't come under proper vedic astro but it comes from experience village astrologers are good at these tit bits things , prof astrologers cant say this . this is what secret lies in predicting though me too know little titbits like this i generally wont say that because clients get shock and worry . its not right to do . we should sugar coat .

I know of 3 people including myself who have this (none Aries ascendant), where mercury sits in the 4th house
Mercury in 4th can definitely give you 2 houses, maybe a mother-like person present in your life. Also dual professions. Good education, yes indeed, but nothing else from mother's side for anyone us. Coincidentally, all these 3 people are in a foreign land

Cancer is overseas sign which lord placed there one will have touch of overseas sure eg 10th lord in cancer , he cross ocean for profession, will even more if 12th happens to be cancer ) 7th lord in cancer spouse comes from foreign or place where sea present . mercury in cancer gives overseas related income . but whatever it is budha sees moon as his enemy even though she is mom to him ,who born out of wed lock so budha dislike moon will give troubles . all this will be more in his mahadasa .
