I'm curious about how having many conjuncts (as opposed to squares, oppositions, trines, etc.) with another person might influence your relationship. Would you say that having many close conjuncts makes for a harmonious relationship? Or do you think so many close similarities makes for too much competition and not enough complimenting?
I recently compared my natal chart to that of someone I've been casually dating, and was immediately struck by these four conjuncts, all with very tight orbs within one degree:
Venus conjunct Venus in Aries (by 32 minutes)
Mars conjunct Mars in Gemini (by 4 minutes)
His Saturn conjunct my Uranus in Capricorn (by 33 minutes)
His Black Moon Lilith conjunct my Libra Ascendant (by 7 minutes)
We get along swimmingly, rarely disagree. We approach life in similar ways, and have a lot of the same interests. We have both remarked that we feel like we're living parallel lives, and always understand where the other person is coming from. On the flip side, he is definitely more attracted to me than I am to him, and he craves a more traditional, monogamous form of intimacy than I do. Though I want to flirt and hang out with him constantly, when it comes to physical affection I clam up and go cold. It took us three months of going on dates and sleeping over before we finally had sex because I was so hesitant (not my usual, aggressive Venus in Aries style). He has voiced some frustration that he's not sure this is going anywhere, and he's afraid I'm going to hurt his feelings. I love his brain and the way he talks, and somewhere in my gut feel like he is so right for me. I want him around, I love being around him! But I also feel a tremendous urge to be single, and can't help but feel like the timing is totally off.
