Women are often stereotyped as chatty. Ideas spread by women are written off as gossip or silliness. Men historically oppressed women by taking away their speech and freedoms. Silence only benefits the oppressors and so it was used as a tool to keep power and control.

However, research now shows that women are often the cause of the evolution of language. New writing systems, invention of words, different ways of speaking, etc. all have one thing in common as the source: WOMEN. And how does language evolve? By constantly communicating!

So when I see ignorant posts, especially being posted by women, about how everyone should be silent or whatever, I just know they're a "pick me" girl!!

Forcibly women to be silent, interrupting women, repeating what she said and misinterpreting women's experiences...its a lot of sexism. I tend to be talkative for a male, I know, could well be a Gemini rising (noon-time chart) factor or a Mercury in its fall in 13' Pisces. I'm against men telling women to be silent on matters like sexual abuse, discrimination and strict gender roles that oppress, because women have the right to speak up on being maltreated as a minority.
