Good idea to date someone born same year with same Sun sign?

I date men about eight to ten years younger but have just met someone with my same sun sign born the same year so we could be days or weeks apart. Don't know his birthday yet so not terribly concerned with precise compatibility.

So this would mean our outer planets are probably conjunct or close to it. Is this a good thing or would we be too similar? Would it be a negative since we might go through identical good and bad experiences at around the same time?

I don't think you can say it's always a good thing or a bad thing, I think it depends on what you're looking for. Are you looking for spice and adventure in a relationship? Someone who pushes you and makes you a little uncomfortable? If that's the case, then it's likely this relationship isn't for you. On the other hand, are you looking for ease and compatibility? Do you just want a tranquil relationship where the two of you just "get" each other with minimal effort? Then this relationship is likely to be right up your alley.

I can say that my parents are in the latter category, and they have made an awesome power couple for 35 years. They were born 6 days apart, but in separate years (yes, they're Cappies). Every single planet is in the same sign except Moon (Pisces and Taurus) and Mercury (Capricorn and Sagittarius). Even their Ascendants, Midheavens, and Vertexes (I know, Vertices) were in the same sign as each other! They raised and homeschooled 6 children, doing an awesome job creating a loving home and demonstrating that love out in the community.

So yes, sometimes it can work really well :)

I think if there are too many similarities it can get boring. You also won't grow as people.
