There's a famous quote from someone who was being tortured and called out to God, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do."

I love that quote. I was told it in childhood and I remember it every one in a while. It’s a great saying. I’ll need to find out where it’s from, I always just assumed the Bible (I’ll look into it tomorrow).

Listening to this guy in the video is just helping me to recalibrate everything in my mind. Even though I have been expressing anger recently, I’ve actually still been relatively calm or peaceful, just stressed and expressing myself. But today I started to wonder what emotion comes after anger? Because I knew, as fun as anger was, it wasn’t tenable or correct long-term. I just feel so much more focused now, listening to this man’s path to forgiveness and love.

Fire and Ice

🔥 Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice. 🧊

And, Robert "Frost" should know a thing or two about ice!

True story - a few year’s ago, maybe 3 or 4, I was a member of the official fan club for Marilyn Monroe, for about a couple of weeks, before I got kicked out.

I had posted an opinion that I thought Laurence Olivier was secretly a transsexual, and this is why he was jealous of Marilyn Monroe, and they had a famously fraught relationship when they filmed ‘Prince and The Showgirl’ together.

The group didn’t take kindly to my opinion, some people were more neutral and said maybe I had a point once I explained it to them more, but a lot of people took offence to it.

They made the decision to chuck me out, not because of my views, but I think more because of the controversial energy I had brought in such a short amount of time.

Anyway, my favourite fan of Marilyn Monroe, and who has become a friend of mine, is an ex-journalist. He has interviewed and met many, many famous stars, including Elizabeth Taylor. He never met Marilyn Monroe unfortunately, as he was still a boy back then and she died quite early.

The moral of the story is, you don’t need to be a member of an official club to be a real fan. He’s not a member of it, I have never asked him why, he just isn’t. And at least I now have a funny anecdote to tell people, ‘I got kicked out of Marilyn’s official fan club.’

I also got kicked out of school btw. Not that it stopped my education, it just delayed it. I have a degree now so f you to that deputy head who took a disliking to me and gave me a hard time until she eventually kicked me out.

‘It is the very error of the moon;
She comes more near the Earth than she
was wont,
And makes men mad’
Othello 5.2

— ‘Othello error’

Othello error occurs when a suspicious observer discounts cues of truthfulness. Essentially the Othello error occurs, Paul Ekman states, "when the lie catcher fails to consider that a truthful person who is under stress may appear to be lying,"[1] their non-verbal signals expressing their worry at the possibility of being disbelieved…’

‘Having many cats is good. If you feel bad, you look at the cats and you feel better, because they know that everything is just the way it is. You don't have to be nervous about anything. And they know it. They are saviors. The more cats you have, the longer you will live. If you have a hundred cats, you will live ten times longer than if you have ten. One day, this will be known and people will have thousands of cats.’

‘I would rather be ashes than dust!
I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time.’

Yeah it was just a thought I had after watching this interview actually. I suddenly thought maybe there was something of a woman about him.

He's known to have been bisexual. He could seem "effeminate".

It's possible he was punctuality-obsessed, like a lot of people. "Better late than never" doesn't work for them. That would explain his problems with Marilyn Monroe.

Yeah maybe that was it, I was maybe just picking up something effeminate about him. I don’t know much about him, bar his associations with other celebs I’ve been interested in, like Marilyn Monroe, Richard Burton and of course Vivien Leigh aka Scarlett O’hara.

I just wondered if maybe it was a possibility he was transexual. It would explain his deep emotional reaction to MM. Although MM’s notoriously late time-keeping was definitely the catalyst for their fraught relationship, it went deeper that that and it became a clashing of the ego’s.

Olivier was known to be rather rude and sexist to Marilyn, telling her to ‘just be sexy,’ when he lost patience over her trying to figure out how best to approach a scene using the ‘method.’ Olivier was also the director, but MM was the owner of the production company. So it seemed like a rivalry, but one that MM won, as it had been widely accepted that she ‘acted him off the screen.’

So I just thought, maybe he’s a diva too. Just as a possibility. I don’t necessarily believe it either.

The Sick Rose

O Rose, thou art sick:
The invisible worm,
That flies in the night
In the howling storm,

Has found out thy bed
Of crimson joy;
And his dark secret love
Does thy life destroy.
