Determining Accidental Dignity

In determining the essential and accidental dignity of planets, I have come across a couple of terms that I am not familiar with. To the best of my ability I can't find a comprehensive answer from google, so I'm hoping someone can help me out.

What does "Swift in Motion" mean?

and

How can I determine whether or not the Moon was waxing (increasing in light) at the time of birth?

Thank you

Holly

Swift in Motion: Every planet has an average movement per day, if a planet is currently moving faster than average, it's considered Swift, if it's moving below average, it's Slow in Motion. I don't think retrogrades count.

About the phase of Luna, when she's moving towards Sol and away from a conjunction, she's Waning, when she's moving away from Sol and towards the opposition she's Waxing. When Luna is conjoined with Sol she's New, and when Opposed, she's Full.

Thanks to you both for clearing that up for me. Now that I understand what Swift in Motion means I have been able to google planetary speeds and I can work that out.

I would like to make sure that I have understood the Moon waxing and waning correctly...

If the Sun is at 0 degrees Aries...
- the Moon is waxing until it reaches Libra
- then it becomes the Full Moon at 0 Libra
- it is waning until it reaches Aries
- when it becomes a New Moon
