OK, folks-- astrology content mandatory and no memes. Let's try to keep the conversation civil. This isn't about whether one despises a likely candidate or the party or not: it's whether s/he is likely to win the nomination.

Who will be the Democratic party's nominee for president in 2024? While it could be Joe Biden, age and low poll numbers are a factor. Several of the 2020 contenders have announced they would not run against him, and several of them are elderly, as well. So far there is no heir apparent. One name that is surfacing is Gavin Newsome, governor of California.

The dates of the DNC National Convention have yet to be announced, but the 2024 election will be on November 5. Jupiter conjunct Newsome's Part of Fortune and MC look interesting.

For sure, the Democratic political strategists will be looking at comparables, for which Democratic hopeful could beat which Republican candidate.

Both Harris and Newsome have that Virgo Pluto-Uranus conjunction. Newsome's seems a bit more troubled in the first house. His SN is in the first house, which can be taken as indicating decrease or diminution; whereas Harris has the NN in the first house. However, a modern interpretation of the SN is that it shows an area that the person has mastered, whereas the NN shows where their growth lies.

The nodes are something of a double sword effect. A public figure needs a good 7th house to have the general public backing them.
NN there has helped Newsome, and SN there has apparently weighed down Harris.

Kamala has a tight Sun/Moon opposition, Air and Fire. Kind of reminds me of the former President Select before President Elect Biden.* :wink:

Newsom has a natal sun conjunct ASC, Uranus and Pluto in the 1st (Libra) with a Venus conjunct Jupiter in the 12th (Virgo) to indicate a very probable winner in the next presidential election race, but many scandals are attached to his career and reputation to generate a whole array of media publicized controversy.

California Governor Gavin Newsome has an exact conjunction of his Ascendant point and his Pluto. This leads me to believe he will be the next President and he will usher in the U.S's Pluto Return with all its effects.

Gee, lucky for Trump that he, himself, doesn't have any scandals attached to his career! ;)

Media publicized controversy is a necessity these days for a successful Presidential candidate!
