I believe it was Factual. I've been to the "new" Library in Alexandria, (computers, etc) with a rooftop Planetarium, (cool!!) Perhaps I'll post a few photos.
Did Caesar mention the burning of the library?
Unfortunately, it also burned down part of the city - the area where the great Library stood. Caesar wrote of starting the fire in the harbor but neglected to mention the burning of the Library. Such an omission proves little since he was not in the habit of including unflattering facts while writing his own history.

Edgar Cayce said that it did burn down, and many of the books (scrolls) were irreplaceable (did not have a duplicate) . He said some of these were about Jesus who became the Christ but we do have all we need in the 4 Gospels and I suppose, the Gnostic few that were found like the Gospel of Thomas.
