Age of Aquarius May Not Be So Great

Extreme time-keeping accuracy began in this Age. And, it's an absolute necessity for both the Capitalist economic system and all of our modern technology.
True.
But capitalism is a combination of Jupiter and Mercury thing. Mercury (rules trade, markets) + Jupiter (open, liberal).
Similarly internet = Mercury (communication) + Jupiter (grand, open).

Look at the adversarial nature of Capitalism. That's Saturn, not Jupiter or Mercury. It's wealth is restricted to the few, not spread among the many.

All kinds of confrontation are Mars thing. Mars is in triplicity in Pisces. Before that Mars ruled Aries. So last 4-5 thousand years were very much Mars influenced too, plenty of wars and killing.

Mars is included with Saturn. Saturn/Mars war is a means to an end, which is controlling the entire world using Capricornian technology.

This Age correlates with a real difference between the modern world and the civilizations of previous Ages prior to the fall of the Roman Empire and their city-state, polytheistic religions.

The worldwide digital time-measurement of this Age is synchronized by satellites and accurate to a millisecond! That's a verifiable difference between the modern world and the past civilizations.

Mechanical timekeeping manifested just after the middle of the tropical Age of Capricorn, and became more and more accurate, especially with the inclusion of electronics and digital format. Here's where it's recorded to have begun--

Everything worldwide, global and all-encompassing is Jupiter theme. Thus we have emergence of globalism in this age.
World wars are Mars + Jupiter. As in Aries age we have strong Mars influence (because of triplicity) and Jupiter makes it global and worldwide.
Increased destruction power of weapons is also Mars (destruction, weapons) + Jupiter (big).
Nothing "Saturnian" about any of this.

For Cap and David, I accept both the sidereal ages and tropical ages, and in this age, there was a lot of warfare, caused by the conflict between Jupiterian societies and Saturnian societies. From a traditional standpoint, this age is a Jupiterian-Mercurial one because Jupiter rules openness, and Mercury rules trade and commerce, so Jupiter and Mercury rules capitalist. But, authoritarianism/statism is also embedded in the capitalist system, so modern capitalism is ruled by Jupiter for globality, Mercury for trade/commerce and Saturn for restriction of humanity's freedom. From a modern standpoint, Pisces is also ruled by Neptune, and wars in this Sidereal Piscean Age/Tropical Capricornian Age are either religious wars (Neptune/Saturn) or political wars (Jupiter/Saturn). Mars is in triplicity in Pisces and exalted in Capricorn, so there was a lot of warfare in this Capricornian/Piscean age

True. But almost everything else is Jupiter ruled. Jupiter dominates this age and almost everything is a mix of Jupiter + influences of Mercury, Venus and Mars.

So, if it's an just an Age of Pisces, where does Saturn enter into it? And why such a materialistically oriented Age, if it's Piscean?

Here's a little irreverent humor from George Carlin about the wealth amassed by the religions of this Age of tropical Capricorn--"God needs MONEY!!!".

Capricorn is about achieve to the top of the summit in the capitalist world, and bosses in this age love to do that because of the capitalist ideology that they're adhering, and Capricorn is about MATERIALISM, no matter what, even if they have a Piscean side that no one would ever see. Saturn is happily doing it's job right now, especially regarding DPRK, Russia, Ukraine, USA, and a lot of anarchists in this world are rebelling against the Capricornian/Piscean age mentality to orient the world towards Aquarianization of the society at large (including me, who is supporting the libertarian socialist anti-cartel Neozapatismo movement intitialized as EZLN)

But you have a worldwide spread of religions in the age of Pisces. This is very much Jupiter theme. Prior to this we had religions that were mostly regional.
Corruption of clergy is Mercury + Jupiter.
Enlargement of world population is also Jupiter theme, combined with fertile watery Pisces.
Science is Jupiter + Mercury thing. Jupiter rules scholars, universities, students, education in general and Mercury rules curiosity, discovering secrets, sharp intellect etc.
Pisces as mutable sign signifies polarities, so we have both religious and scientific at the same time. It all depends on the point of view. From eastern philosophy point of view, neither "scientific material world" nor "religious non-material worlds with heavens and hells or other dimensions of existence" are real. It's just duality. All dualities are not real.

Both types of precessional, astrological Ages are occurring simultaneously on different wavelengths. The West is mainly tuned in to the tropical zodiac. And within the context of the signs of the tropical zodiac, there is no transiting sidereal Age-marker. There can't be, because the sidereal Age-marker, the Vernal Point, is held in place as the First Point of tropical Aries.

Possibly. But my main point is, you are attributing too many things to Saturn while those are mainly Jupiter themes, or combinations of Jupiter + some other planetary influence.

The 30° Age-window method explains that tropically. The Ages overlap, so the previous forefront Age of tropical Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter, is now the background Age accompanying the cutting-edge, forefront Age of Capricorn. It's a rivalry between Saturn and Jupiter for Age-rulership.

Jupiter would spread the wealth, but Saturn is about scarcity, fear, and dire necessity, and the "haves and the have-nots".

For the sidereal Ages, the Age-window method explains the religious wars, with the overlap of the previous sidereal forefront Age of Mars-ruled Aries, as the current background Age accompanying the otherwise relatively peaceful forefront Age of Pisces. That's a rivalry between Neptune and Mars for the sidereal Age-rulership.

Compared to previous ages this is the age of wealth and abundance.

As you know, I don't recognize outers as sign rulers (and also I think they are extremely malefic). When we enter Saturn ruled Aquarius then there will be real scarcity, or at least some Saturnian themes like minimalism and restrictions. Aquarius is detriment of the Sun. Possibly this means there will be lack of authority or anarchy as a theme. Just like we have many Jupiter and Mercury combinations in this age, there will be Saturn + Sun themes in age of Aquarius.

All wars are about Mars influence. It depends how strong Mars influence is in an age. Religious wars especially are Mars + Jupiter.

I think you'd be classified as "hybrid" by Trads, because at least you recognize the Outermosts as influences, just not sign-rulers.

Do you consider Venus and Jupiter the "lesser and greater" benefics, versus Mars and Saturn as the lesser and greater malefics? That's standard Trad.

Like any sign, Aquarius has positives and negatives. The previous astrological ages since the dawn of recorded history have all had their share of "man's inhumanity to man." Although we might expect the times to change, we can't ask too much of human nature.

The Internet is surely changing lives for good. Every invention has been put to use in the service of sleaze, but arguably IT has brought more good than harm. However, Aquarius tends to go more for acquaintances than best friends. It's not that Aquarius cannot be loyal (it's a fixed sign) but that it needs to live outside of the herd.

It interests me how IT is changing inter-personal communication. Those 1950's love songs about pay phones, passenger trains, and "hard copy" letters might as well have come from another era. Could we rename their revivals? "My baby sent me a twitter." "I'm going to sit right down and write myself a twitter and make believe it came from you." "Rocking robin, tweet, tweet" still works.

I think friendships are changing. Skype is a super way to keep in touch. On the other hand, some people substitute flesh-and-blood relationships for Internet forums. Children are getting repetitive strain injury in their thumbs from constant text-messaging, after hours.

I am not so worried about the Age of Aquarius as I am about global environmental deterioration. Possibly there's a link.

One thing we should definitely realize is that the Sun in Aquarius doesn't necessarily manifest the same exact effects as the Age in Aquarius.

Agreed! It doesn't fit the sidereal Pisces Age, either.
How about the masses who create as Kelly Ann Conway (the ex WH aide and lawyer) said, their"alternative" facts? Is this not a Neptune faze that has long lasting repercussions we (the collective) still is battling? Somehow it seems to be partially a negative Piscean portion.

I don't consider myself as traditionalist. I'm a pragmatist, I use what I find to be working and discard what I find useless.
Yes, malefics and benefics are primarily considered as such from the point of widely accepted meanings of "good" and "bad" in the West.
Early traditional astrology was influenced by Stoic philosophy.

But in reality "good" and "bad" are relative terms. It all depends on circumstances.
For example, in Hindu tradition, 4th stage of life is called Sannyasa. It is a form of asceticism where person is detached and disinterested for material things in life. Money, possessions, comforts etc., everything average westerner considers as a "good" thing have no meaning to Sannyasa.

The sidereal Age of Pisces will last over 2000 years. Neptune's transit through a sign lasts only about 14 years, hardly a blip on the radar in comparison. Is organized religion the Neptunian "opiate of the masses" during this sidereal Age of Pisces?
